I don't have another trip planned right now. Hopefully in 2018 or 2019 so buying another set of tickets probably not in the cards but thanks for the idea.

Has Disney officially changed the start of the fast pass window to 7AM Eastern time? I heard even after Disney announced the change in the time that people were still able to book their advanced fast passes starting at midnight.

My group is a family of 4 staying in a suite. We have a dining plan package with 10 day tickets.

I want 4 SDFP.
I have my husband's old band from the last trip, he is not going on this trip. So that is the first band.
I will buy 3 bands and understand that I do not activate them at time of purchase. (unless my sister can find her 4 bands for me to use)
With the new bands, is it easier for me to create a new MDE account, or should I add them to my existing MDE account with new names?

It's a lot easier to create the phantoms on the same MDE. Just choose names for them that are not close versions of the names of the real profiles. Use middle names, for instance.

Ok I need help I'm confusing myself. I want to take advantage of SDFP+ and might have to use a few strategies to work it out. If it helps any I am a planner and don't mind doing the work to ensure we have the best trip possible.

Here is our set up, we have 5 people (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 infant) booked with room and MYW tickets. So we will be getting 5 magic bands but will only be making FP+ reservations for 4 as the infant doesn't have a ticket. So that is my first question can I use the infants magicband as a Phantom? I think this is a yes but want to make sure....

Now on to the more confusing part. We have 4 old school hard tickets from 2013 that have the RFID symbol on them so I planned to use them BUT my husband when I added him to my MDE account used the same email address so now it sees his past ticket so I don't think we can use his ticket as now it will be part of the "hive", correct? Also my daughter while playing with hers lost it so I only have 2 more. How do I get them added to our current MDE account as Phantoms?

So that gives me one Phantom magicband, 2 phantom old tickets but I'm one short....if I buy an unlinked magicband do I also add it to our account as a phantom or do I create another account. This seems to be getting complicated to manage, am I better off just buying 4 unlinked magicbands with a new MDE account?

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Edited- I realized that the old tickets were already used. Sorry!

You can use the infant's MB for SDFP at the kiosks.

There is no way to add the old plastic cards (used tickets) to your MDE - but you don't need to. They will work at the kiosks for SDFP. Cards are unlike MBs in that respect. An MB has to be activated, has to be linked to an MDE, in order to work at the kiosks. The cards don't.

However, those four old cards must have been associated with an MDE if your husband's is showing up under his MDE. If you sign into his MDE, do you see all four cards? You're sure they're not associated with profiles on your MDE already? When you linked your MDE and his MDE, the system might have cloned the cards from his family/friends to your family/friends. (Compare the numbers printed on the back of the card with the numbers shown on the MDE under MagicBands and Cards.) If they are definitely not cloned, go into his MDE and change the names of the profiles of the other family members (to their middle names, for instance) to prevent future cloning.

It's best for the planner to be the only one with an MDE. Though that ship has sailed for you for the moment. But moving forward, if you set up a new MDE next year...

So you hopefully have two uncloned cards and the one extra MB. Just buy one more MB, in link-it-later, and set up a phantom profile (husband's middle name or favorite Disney character, etc.) to link it to. Much easier than using a separate MDE in this case.

No one said this wasn't complicated! But you sound as though you're working it out well.

So once I make the SDFP reservations with the cards I cannot change them without going back to a kiosk correct?

You can change them by signing in through the disneyworld.com website, but not through the MDE app.

Ever since the changes on April 10, I've been able to make changes on SDFP's through the App, as well as the website.

But if they aren't linked to my MDE what am I using to access them? My old MDE account these were associated with?
Either the old MDE account or by linking that old account to your new one and selecting "Show all plans" (as opposed to "shared" plans).

If you can't find where they were originally linked, you won't be able to access them other than at a kiosk. You can't link an expired ticket.

I'm here now and not sure what I am doing wrong. I linked our extra bands to phantoms and got FPs at the kiosk without issue. Whenever I try and modify them by picking a different attraction it says it is unable to finalize and I have to start over. I get that message on the app and when I go to the site on my phone. Any idea why I'm getting that message? Thanks!

@karpy111 also mentioned problems with Modifying - he and his family were in the parks last week.

Disney may have tweaked the Modifying of FPs without ticket entitlements.

Not SDFP related, but I'm also testing for someone else - what are your thoughts? If you only book 2 FPP's for a park and want to book the third for a different park that day, can you do it when you scan at the first FPP or the second? I'm pretty sure you can after the first but not certain I've actually tested it.

I believe it is after the 1st. Most rides are doing away with the 2nd scanner and the 2nd one was to make sure no one had jumped over from Standby.

Oops, I really wasn't clear. I know you only have to scan at the first scanner. What I was trying to ask was in regards to the FPP's themselves. If you have a FPP for Soarin' and Spaceship Earth Mountain but want to book Space for later, can you book it as soon as you scan at Soarin'? Or do you have to scan the second FPP before booking a third in a different park? I swear I thought I tried this once but it's all blending together now. ;)

You have to prove you've completed your FPs in Park #1 before you can book for an additional park. The system will alert you that you can't have FPs in more than one park if you try after FP #1.

Can you purchase a 1 day ticket and use it as a FP+ generator? 3 Options are MK only, EP HS AK only, or park hopper. They expire Dec 2017 but you can apply the price towards your next ticket purchase so if our next trip was in 2018 we would not be loosing money and just apply it toward our next purchase.

If you get a 2 day ticket (doesn't need to be park hopper), that one won't expire.

I think the problem with upgrading is you have to do that on site?
