SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

Thank you so much to Mr. Guinea Pig and everyone in the HiveMind that is going to be testing things out today. Am I correct that the first person to try CPFP is risking a locked account? If so, I am so grateful and hope nothing goes wrong for them.

ETA - The site still allows me to use Change Party among members of my family who have not entered any parks today for a FP reservation in 10 minutes.

No reason to think it would not work in the park too, but with any changes like this, we need confirmations to be sure. We need to know if a) you can make a SDFP with a ticketed phantom not used to enter the park and b) if the CPFP still works and allows ride entry after transferring from the ticketed phantom SDFP and a pre-booked FP by a ticketed phantom.

I've had trouble at HS kiosks in the past - even seeing that warning a couple of years ago. This might be a fluke (though I doubt it!).

Hopefully we'll be hearing from someone at another park very soon. @ArielSRL is at Animal Kingdom I think.

Come on, fluke!

If it isn't, the whole lockout scenario seems like it would affect an uninformed guest more than someone that was utilizing SDFP. If you knew about it and had phantom bands or cards, you would obviously be willing to CP on your ticketed bands now. But I guess we have to wait and see confirmed reports of someone attempting to use a ticketed band that was pre-booked, but never really entered the park.

The risk will be taken by the first person who attempts to enter a FP line before using Change Party - so they'll be using a band with a prebooked FP that wasn't used at the park entrance.

If SDFP is being shut down at the kiosks instead of at the attractions does this leave open the possibility of using bands with ticketed advance FPs that were not used to enter the park?

That's the scenario that we believe will get your MDE locked.

Oh, right you have that in post 1. I was thinking the main scenario we were worried about was the possibility that if you used an SDFP on a non-entered band that you'd risk getting shut down on the SDFP account and possibly on your main MDE account if linked.

The good news about possible locking of ticketed but not park-entered bands that made advance fastpasses is that it won't ruin your day, right? So long as you are using make believe MDE accounts, the worst that could happen is that your second account with an unused ticket on it will get locked. You'll still get your 3 fps on your main ticket and the ability to make SDFPs in the usual way on that band. Now, if Disney doesn't ultimately let you unlock the account that would be very bad. But I bet that won't happen for a few innocent mistakes.

What would be really devious is if Disney were to let you use a ticketed band with advance reservation FPs on it for FP but then deduct a ticket entitlement.

Has anyone tried to get SDFP at a kiosk on a ticketed band not used to enter the park yet?

You're right - we did wonder what would happen if someone tried to enter a FP attraction with an SDFP. But now we have reason to believe SDFP are gone with the wind. So we're on to waiting other scenarios to be tested. :) If it takes repeated attempt to trigger a lockout, it's going to take us longer to gather the data!

Your day won't be ruined in any case - you'll just call guest services if you have a problem with your MDE and they'll fix it. But you're right - if you use a band on a separate MDE, it won't matter much if it's locked.

Disney would never deduct a ticket entitlement anywhere but at the park entrance.

Just shut down at FP kiosk at Town Hall MK. Just says that guest requires park admission. These are eBay bands and I have no access to MDE. This method appears to be dead.
Were you approached by a CM, or the system just showed you a message and asked for a new band/ticket?

(but only through real Magic Bands and tickets for us on previous trips on alternate email accounts).

Buying an AP so you can access the FP+ calendar for 7 pre-booked FP per month? Okay by Disney! They get more money from you.
Buying extra tickets so you can access the FP+ calendar at 180,60, whatever countdown days? Okay by Disney! They get more money from you.

Using past trip MBs to access a kiosk? *BEEEEEEEEEP* no. Disney is not making more money from you.
Using random MBs you purchased from the Disney Store, the Internet, Ebay, your dog walker's cousin's baby mama to access a kiosk? *BEEEEEEEEEP* no. Disney is not *directly* making more money from you.

Pretty simple to understand, really. ;)
