Has anyone else heard of this wine? It's from a division of one of the Sebastiani family members. I've heard good things about it, and yes, as it's name implies, it has a screw cap instead of a cork. But I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anyone?

I thought this thread was going to be a fraternity/sorority bashing one. Heh.

Is it anything like Two-Buck-Chuck that they sell at Trader Joe's? That stuff is really good!

Many wineries are switching to screw caps. There are some fairly expensive wines that now feature screw caps. I've found the Screw Kappa Napa in a lot of wine stores in MA.

Actually, DH and I recently had a tour of the Newport Vineyards in Rhode Island. They are in the process of changing all their machinery to screw caps. Like the guide said, do you want sterile metal/plastic keeping your wine fresh or a piece of tree?

It's actually a big gamble for them - they don't know if the public will respond or if they will even try a screw cap wine bottle - even if it's good stuff. Interesting, I thought.
