May as well embrace it. Pour yourself a white wine spritzer, throw on a Meg Ryan movie and let's look at some princess pictures!
Whee! Okay! Let's watch Sleepless in Seattle! And after that we can watch You've Got Mail!!!!
ummmm....
er....
I mean (said in as deep a voice as I can muster), if we have to watch a Meg Ryan movie, I'll watch Top Gun.
Dang it!
Consider all this foreshadowing. It got worse before it got better.
uh, oh
The One With Guest Disservice and the Drag Queen Princess
Guest Disservice.
I like that.
Your word choice that is, not getting disservice.
Sadly there were a few experiences that I still have perfect recollection of and I will share those as they pop up.
Anyone suspect one of those is coming right up?
Nope. But I'm generally clueless as a rule, so it's all good.
The CM sort of snidely asked me if I was sure that I was really on DxDP, and if I had a dining plan at all. I was shocked at his attitude,
And smacked him square in the schnootz?
but recovered in time to rather snidely reply that it said DxDP pretty clearly on our KTTW cards.
That'd work too, I guess.
Seriously, though. Really? He really said that?
I stood there in silence for about 10 minutes while he did goodness knows what on the computer. Maybe he was playing Candy Crush? (I totally get it if he was, that game is addictive!)

I've never played it, though.
I don't think I want to start. I just don't have the
time!
Finally he said that I did indeed have the DxDP and the 42 snack credits that went with it.
No! Really! What a surprise!
hed re-set our key cards but he doubted it would solve the problem
Wow. He was an immense help, wasn't he. You should've asked him if he was sure he was a qualified CM?
I did manage to find the high road and thank him with a smile on my way out.
Ah, well.
So you're a better person then I am.
Rapunzel was the first in line. I thought shed be a great one to give the bracelet to since shes so crafty (painting the tower and all),
Still haven't seen it.
I dont know if Mads was disappointed, but I kind of was for her. Rapunzel barley acknowledged the gift, she just put in on her little table.
Too bad.
Next up was my favorite princess of the trip. I dont know what it was about the hair and makeup on this young woman, but as I live and breathe she looked exactly like a drag queen. I personally enjoy drag queens, so I found her fascinating and fabulous.
So let's see... Considering that I've pretty much permanently lost my man card, if we ever have a Dis meet, I'll know what to wear.
DQ Aurora was amazing. She provided some of the best interaction weve ever had with Aurora (usually shes kind of dull and doesnt have much to say). She loved DDs dress, chatted at length about the fairies and how they argue over pink and blue dresses all the time, and said she wears blue to sleep so that they dont get their feeling s hurt. She also made certain that her special bracelet was showing in all the photos they took together. I love DQ Aurora!
That's great!
And I too read that as Dairy Queen Aurora.
Are you prepared to the full fabulousness that is DQ Aurora? Here we go!
hmmmm.....
Nope. Don't see an Adam's Apple so I think you're okay.
Or maybe, disapointed???
My favorite-it really is all about the shoes
I have a confession to make.
Say three Hail Mary's and one Our Father.
We checked in for our reservation and waited in the blazing sun while DD moaned that she was hungry, thirsty, wanted to swim, and in general was not pleased with us as parents.
Oh, how I miss those days....
Well, no. Not really.
The photo also shows that there are indeed seats.
Must've missed something. I don't get it.
And you can't beat the view
Ya know what's better then dining with a view of the castle?
Nothing.
(Well, possibly dining
in the castle.)
she said their water isnt filtered but shed get us a bottle of water free of charge since it was so hot.
Not bad.
Bry got the aforementioned vanilla shake, a salad with ranch dressing, and also opted for the bacon cheeseburger and fries. His burger looked exactly like mine.
Smarty pants.
Oh, boy. That looks good.
The grilled cheese disappeared too quickly for me to snap a photo
You did say she'd hit her food wall!
Maddie is a creature of ice cream habit. She eats lemon sorbet, lemon sorbet, or lemon sorbet.
Proof positive that you have an exceptional child there.
Obviously anyone who's favorite sorbet flavor is lemon is a cut above.
I settled on the hot fudge sundae.
Another fine choice.
While we were having dessert, Maddie said shed changed her mind and no longer wanted to go swimming. She wanted to ride more rides.
Food wall, conquered!!!
Seriously, we need to feed that girl every 2 hours! No exceptions.
Would we return? Oh yes! Im here to tell you that I was wrong to doubt the Plaza. It was great!
Glad it worked out, and now it's on my list.
Thanks for the update, Shanapalooza!
