So I decided that I wanted to bring Nana's sewing desk to my house and use it. My dad is awesome at fixing/rebuilding and building so he's been working on it for a week or so. Well this project brought about a major cleaning/hoeing out of the room that had been a dumping ground for quite a few months. That inturn lead to a total flip of the scrap area. Some of you may remember when I redid it 18 months or so ago ( I think the organizing thread is still around somewhere) this was one of the options I think Hope came up with back then.

box dad made a couple of years ago it holds all my paper and wooden stamps

I still need to do something different with the table I have my cricut on and the laptop table I'm not thrilled with but it works for now. I have other pics/views loaded into photobucket if anyone wants to see them.

looks great Christy...very creative way to hang your punches!

Thanks Lisa I love it but can already tell that I'll be out of room in no time with it. I think there is room for 4 more!

funny how that happens :confused3 I had to buy another unit for my carts too!, but my cuttlebug sits on top and the folders have a home in it too so its a double duty unit!

My Cricut is the problem child at the moment. I have all the carts and books in the snapware containers. I used the plastic canvas to make holders for the carts. but the whole table it's on is messy and junky (that why I tried to excled it in the pics) I just can't decide what type of unit I want it on. I definately want it on wheels. I'll eventually find something.

what about one of the drawer units on wheels....has seen them with nice wood tops and metals drawers, then you'd have extra storage too! I know TheContainerStore.com has them but not sure on the price.

Will have to look at the web site. I'm spoiled in the fact that my Dad builds everything for me. the stamp pad box by the window and the big box in front of the window he custom built me. The big one has paper on one side and on the other 2 HUGE drawers for my wooden stamps.
Right now its under the cover on the open rack (bags hanging off it)

All my SU and CM books as well as the 3 ring scrap box albums and cuttlebug stuff is on it.

Hey Christy - it looks so good! Very organized.
Need to get in and clean mine today - you've motivated me!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Caroline I LOVE it. I can't wait to actually sit down and use it hopefully tonight! gotta get the laundry finished first

Thanks Hope! spent the pm staring at the ugly table trying to come up with a soultion and so far nothing other than a microwave style cart is coming to mind.
I actually just did 15 quick pages for E's teacher. Each kid wrote him a letter (his first class) and pics from a soldiers visit. Still need to journal them and add embellies but the pics are on. I now need to print the rest of the pics from the year at mom's.

can't wait to work on my own albums.

So, I'm going to go with a somewhat obvious suggestion for your cricut problem... does your Dad have a new project?

That way you could get something that matched, and is exactly what you would want.

That's the plan Hope but I need to give him a pattern of sorts. It can be rough but he need over all dimensions and pieces parts I want to use the space effectively. Just thinking of over all size and I think abt that size. I found a skematic when I did a search for mic carts that I think would really work with some modifications. It has a spice rack on one side and is abt the same height and width as the big one he built. Need to redo it on graph paper wondering if the spice rack area could be redone in to a cart storage area?

Wow! That looks so great! An organized space is great for the mind, isn't it?

Very cool I like the rustic paneling! Very warm and inviting.

Hey friend! How are things up North? I presume you weathered the storm okay??

I love the custom-made pieces your Dad has built for you. It makes your area look so warm and like real furniture! Sure beats my "plastic drawers from Target" system! ...........................P
