This is my new obsession, but boy is it expensive!!!

I'm working on my WDW trip and my Jamaican wedding trip. The little embellishments you can buy are just so neat, but it sure adds up! Especially the wedding ones...I couldn't pass many of them up!

I think I have 3 different Mickey hole punches too, LOL!

I need to find a cheaper hobby

But the end product is so worth the time, money and effort. Your children and grandchildren (if you choose to have children) and other loved ones will cherish them for years to come.

Yes, you are certainly right about that! My children like getting involved in the journaling too.

I love to scrapbook too! It's so much fun but you are right, all the little do-dads can cost a fortune. Over time I've found ways to save money on different things, ways to cut corners and share stuff with friends so that we all get a little more for a little less $ but it can still be expensive, even with my frugal ways, lol. I did buy a new scrapbook for Titus today and I got it at 1/2 off with a coupon at hobby lobby. Yeah!!

Sure know what ya mean! I try to stick with paper, more paper, & even more paper....then fill in with free fonts & clipart where possible. Try not to buy too many embellishments.

But I'm still a collector of scrapping supplies & tools. LOL

I'm a scrapbooker too. Did you know there is a scrapbooking forum on the Disboards?

I"m also into stamping. I'm a Close To My Heart consultant, so that helps with the cost of this hobby. (CTMH is scrapbooking and rubber stamping direct sales.)

It's fun. I've been scrapbooking since '98.

Scrapbooking is a wonderful hobby and it is something that can be passed down from generation to generation. I love it and DH does our Disney trips so we are a family of scrapbookers.

I just started scrapbooking and I agree that it is a bit expensive to start! I'm doing a scrapbook for DS. It's so much fun so far! I look forward to the different events and milestones in his life so that I can scrap them!

My greatest strength as a scrapbooker is .... buying the supplies!

It is very expensive (over on the scrapbooking board we were keeping track of how much we spend in one month - my total was over $300 for Oct )

But the end results are SO worth it!

Another "addict" right here!

I've been scrapbooking for five years and my husband teases me that we could make two house payments on what I have in my scrapbook room.

I've completed 4 Disney Vacation Albums, about 6 Family Albums, and I just completed our St. Thomas trip from last winter.

My ongoing project right now is my son's Military Scrapbooks from his time in Iraq. I've completed Volume 1 and am now working on Volume 2. Between all of the newspaper articles, and the 10 rolls of film he brought home, and then the homecoming parties, etc. - it's involving much more than I ever dreamed.

Yes...it can become an expensive hobby, but it's something that I'm doing for my children and my future generations. My kids pull out my scrapbooks all the time, but the old photo albums just sit.

Another addict here!

I was invited to a Creative Memories Party over the summer and I was hooked!
I've completed one scrapbook and almost completed another.
I'm having SO much fun!
I still have our vacation photos to do!
I've also decided to re-do my boys baby albums from 20 years ago and get those photos out of those old books.
I do spend quite a bit on supplies, but it's a great hobby!

I was thinking about doing that too, Ranatra.

It seems like so long ago and I didn't keep very good records on my youngest, so journaling could be a problem.

I'm working on two at the same time now. I have to finish by Thanksgiving so I can find my table!
