I save everything from the parks like maps, buttons, napkins, ribbons, pictures (of course) schedules and what ever I can find. You never know when these will help make that perfect page. Also JoAnns, MIchaels, Walmart and Target carry Disney items. Have fun and enjoy!

I learned a new technique on Scrapbooking on DIY...

Basically what you do, is you write word(s) in cursive lettering, extremely spaced out. Then, around the lettering in cursive, you use stencils, semi-closed together. Inside the stencil, color in with chalk, leaving the cursive writing untouched...

How long have you been scrapbooking? What kinds of techniques and tools are your favorites? That might help us a bit in suggesting "new" ideas to you.

I like the idea Nikki showed above. I remember seeing that episode of DIY Scrapbooking. I actually liked quite a few things I saw there. It might be a place to start if you get the DIY network. If not, you can still view the instructions at their website: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_scb/

Something I really liked when I saw it (but haven't quite gotten down right yet) is to put a strip of paper through a Dymo Labelmaker. You put a word or phrase on it that you want to accent on your page. Then take some fine sand paper or an emery board to rough up the top of the letters. You're supposed to use white core paper for this. Then the letters stand out in white against the color/s of the PP or CS. It looks really cool when it works...I just keep forgetting to get white core stuff. LOL

That's a really neat idea! I'll have to remember that one when I do my Disney Album.

Sometimes a new product helps me through a slump or gets you to learn a new technique. Right now Im in love Grungeboard. Its helped me come up with some new idea's and looks.

It is! They have several different really cool patterns on it. I have the stripes, dots and harlequin. It feels really cool too, it reminds me of leather but with the chipboard look. You can do all kinds of stuff to it.
