scrapbook extention rods

I have a couple of the pioneer albums that use the small metal rods that twist together to hold top loading page protectors. My question, does anyone know if you can buy longer rods that will enable the book to hold more pages? I've looked at Michaels, my lss and even looked in Halmark shops but can't find anything!

I haven't used pioneer in a while but I remember that when you buy your page protector refills the little twisty things come with it. You can twist several of them together to make them longer. The most I have put together were 2 extra refills.

I used the pioneer album for my wedding/honeymoon photos and I have the album about 4 inches thick. I was thinking of contacting the company to find out if they sell packets of just posts without the page protectors. I have lots of page protectors and I dont need anymore.

I have run into this problem too with Pioneer albums. With using brads, shaker boxes, etc. my albums become rather "thick". I need more spacer rods and not more pages, and the only way I have found them is with the refill pages. I would love to know if anyone finds these!

I only use Pioneeer and have purchased just the posts alone many times. I have bought them at Michaels and at my LSS. They came in packs 4 and were $1.99 CDN.
They were in the scrapbook album isle, hanging down (not on the shelf itself).

I have also seen spacers sold separately, but it was at my LSS.
