Scrap booking digitally in UK

I have spent far to many hours lost on a post in this forum on digitally scrapbooking and am in absolute awe ................ have added some shutterfly books to my favourite to have a good nose at later with a nice cup of tea!!!

As i am from the UK i was wondering where would be my best place to start??

Also all the elements that i have seen - amazing, and what do i do with the kits??
Download them and will they seperate or am i needing to have correct software or a program to do this??

I sort of need step by step instructions as to where on earth i start!

Any advice i would really appreciate it!!

I am just learning as well, so I am excited to hear what people say.

I purchased Photoshop Elements on friday night, and have been playing around with it.
I downloaded a few freebie scrap kits, and am finding its not to hard. Not sure if this will help you at all. My hope is to make some journals for my kids designed to adapt to each of them (more writing for the oldest!).
