I LOVE the Christmas Shop!!! I don't ever buy anything though Probably because I'd spend WAY too much

I went to DTD more on this trip than ever before and never made it into the Christmas shop. I think I have most of the 12 days of Christmas signs. I may find out as I organize my photo discs. My new hobby.

Vinny really does like to pose.

Like I said, I get excited when I see it.

It is a great resort and a nice section.

I think a Bloody Mary is a perfectly acceptable way to kick of vacation, even if you don't hate flying!

Glad you were able to get an upper floor AND have it ready right away! Other than the bumpy flight and Vinny's rash, off to a great start. He sure looks happy in that first picture, love it!

it was a nice start to the trip.

Hey Scott- followed along on the last adventure...joining in on this one.

I can't remember the last time I was at DTD, we used to go when the boys were younger and we would stay for 10 days...now we have to go during peak times and for less time so it keeps getting pushed aside. Oh wait, the last time was in DL when you have to walk thru DTD to get to the Magic Kingdom...makes it much easier

Hmmm... Have to get to DTD during the day time... I feel like we're always there at night... I think it would be nice to be there during the day... probably much less crowded and you can actually see everthing...

I've never had anything bad at WPE that I can remember...

Does the Bloody Mary help take the edge off? I'm a terrible flyer as well and I'm always looking for tricks... I made the mistake once on an overnight flight on Air France -who had at the time pretty decent airplane food and wine and champagne, etc ... and this was in Coach... of drinking more than one drink but several... and when I go there... I'm sorry to say I had a teeny bit of a hangover... so I've really shied away from drinking on planes... but many just one...

Are you getting ready for Hurricane Sandy... I'm outside of Philadelphia... and looks like you're in NY... We're smack in what they're showing to be the middle... It's constantly on all the news... I wonder if there is any chance of it scaling down???

It is less crowded during the day. Nighttime can be crazy there.

I would only do 1 drink in the morning. Helps the nerves.
Not really. Will have water and will charge everything. We are on the 11th floor so no flooding in here. Hopefully not too many trees come down like last year with Irene. Be safe.

As much as I loved staying at the BWV during my last trip, SSR will always scream "home" to me. So glad you got a high floor request. I am glad they are refurbing the rooms there. They needed it!

Can you believe I never made it to DTD this trip? How is that possible? I love the Halloween decorations at DTD. So cute.

Love the lego dragon. I love taking the boats, so peaceful. World of Disney is crazy big! Even in Disneyland Resort, its a place I'm not really happy to go into. but we always find cool stuff.

You can find some good stuff in there but it is really big and so crowded. Daytime is best time to visit it.

I like the new balloon a lot better! We have never used that guest services office in all these years. I am getting that photopass this time. I wonder if it's the best place to activate it. I need to make a list of all the uses...man, I have so much to do. Less than a month to go and I can't get my own stuff done for working on everything else. Love it though!

After we swam or slept we had a very important date with two lovely ladies. Okay maybe one is a lady. LOL. Only kidding.

We got a text from Kristel that they were in the complex so we walked over to the main building and wait for them. I told them we were by the pool. Here is a statue along the way.

They had difficulty finding the path I was talking about (and yes Kristel, up is a direction, LOL) so we walked down and saw them. We then were all together and we headed to our dinner.

We were seated towards the middle of the restaurant right after the door that leads outside. All settled in we order and talk and eat. Not sure what Lorrie and Kristel had (Lorrie might discuss it in her tr(<-click to follow her tr) so here is what Vinny and I had.


Scott:

Review:
We both enjoy this little secret gem in WDW. The food is always good and the place is quiet and great for talking with friends. We will be going back again. The steak was really good. I have had bad steaks at WDW but was so happy this one was good.

Total: $91.23 with discount and tip.

Then after dinner we decided to go to a park that had EMH. We walked by the main pool where a movie was playing.

The fountain behind the bus stop in The Springs sections.

3 happy well fed people heading out for some fun.

We got to DHS and we were off. Bad pic of the boat.

After our very delicious lunch we walked around. We did go into the Christmas store.


We only looked around and did not buy anything. So many choices.

Great pictures of DTD. I only got a quick sweep through there the night before we left. It was way crowded. I like going in the mornings much better, but it just didn't work out on this trip.

I intended to get a couple of ornaments, but I had too little time and too much stuff to choose from, so I got nuthin'! (I will make up for it next Christmas, since I will be there. )

I had no trouble finding the path I just didn't have the directions and up is definitely a direction. I will fill in our part of the dinner when I get to it but when did you get pics of the drinks? I thought we all forgot to do that.

The photopass pics came out really nice. You will have to get me copies of them on a disc. I have secret plans and could use some of the pics. Looking forward to seeing what we did next.
