Scott & Vicki's Art Deco Wedding and Disneymoon May 29, 2011 *Wedding Day Report!

LOVE that coffee mug! I may have to go get one for my father.. even though he doesn't drink much coffee on the go? ha.

Thanks!

Girl, I LOVE LOVE LOVE (!!!) everything you've done so far! I have had so much fun reading your PJ. popcorn:: You are so creative and great at DIY. Love the movie theme. And that dress! Fabulous!

Thank you! It was really fun to make all the projects :)

I didn't yet! :lmao: We've looked, but bought nothing.

lol!

Also, Vicki--I love your rings!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!

So I did yet another DIY today, this one didn't take too long though, I made signs to put on Scott's door and my door at the hotel where we are getting ready for the ceremony. I decided to incorporate some Disney elements in there too :)

Love love love it!!! What are the letters made with? I wanna make some fun signs for our wedding! :)

Right now my silly computer is only loading one of the pictures... but it looks great! What is the sign made out of, is it just cardboard?

Awesome as always! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!!

They are those upraised bubble stickers, I got them at Michael's in the scrapbook section. Go to Micheal's or Joann's they have some really cute Disney stickers you could make some pretty cool signs :thumbsup2

Thanks! The sign is actually metal, I went to Hobby Lobby after Valentines Day when they had everything marked down and I saw those two blank metal signs. I think your suppose to paint on them, but I wanted to resell the signs so I didn't want to damage them, and I just used stickers for everything else on the sign :) You could definitely do this with cardboard as well.

Must. Make. Trip. To. Michaels.

I really like those! And good idea to sell them later! With all of your creative ideas, you could easily sell some of your things you've made after!
**I call first pick** :rotfl2:

Orrrrrr you could just open your own little store and sell all of your ideas. Orrrr just be a wedding planner.

I can't help it. I'm in Marketing. I do these types of things...haha!

Thanks!

A lot of brides hang signs like this off the "bride" and "grooms" chairs with ribbon. If the signs aren't too expensive you could make them for your chairs as well in your wedding reception colors/theme. Or you could trace the shape and make them out of cardstock. I think Amanda (aka Amanda and Milton / Sccrmnky) has an example of the ones she will use in her pj.

Thanks!!!

I love Michael's! I know what you mean about the stickers, they have great ones. And by the way, I can see the second pic now... too cute! My DF loves Toy Story too :)

That is a really good idea! I wish I had enough creative/fun wedding ideas that I could open an Etsy store...

But Vicki, I'm sure if you did you'd get a lot of customers :goodvibes

Lol Kristi you are hilarious  I am thinking about doing some planning after the wedding is over. I will be selling a lot of my stuff after the wedding, I thought about opening up my own store, but I think all I would sell are my hair flowers that I have made. I havent posted pics on here bc I didn't plan on using them for the wedding. Hey we can go into business together you can be my marketing coordinator :rotfl:

Hey Dolly! It's funny that you suggested this bc I made some of those a while back already. I think it's on page 21 of my PJ. Thanks for the suggestion :)

And I'd certainly be your coordinator. What a great team that'd be! :stir: <---- I dont know, this smiley just made me laugh a little.

Girl I starting making stuff like a year and a half out, lol! I didn't change my mind too much though, just a couple of times, so I didn't waste too much time or energy thank goodness.

I call second dibs, after Kristi! :rotfl2: Those signs are tooooo cuuuuute. :cutie:

Sure thing :) I will let you all know :cutie:

Hey all Happy Friday! Not much of an update today, but I decided to do some cleaning because my house is in disarray because of the myriad of DIY's I have floating all over the house. Well I decided to organize everything, 1. because my house looks insane :lmao: and 2. because I am afraid I will forget something and not bring it to the venue on the big day because everything is all over the place, so I decided to go down to uhaul and buy a bunch of boxes to get everything together. I bought 10 thinking that might be too many, but boy was I wrong. The result:

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

So...much...stuff! So then I started freaking out, because it's suppose to be us girls setting up the big day along with the moms and a couple of other female helpers, but some of these boxes weigh so much, so I talked to Scott and he agree that him and the boys will load all the boxes in and then when they are clear he will have one of the boys call me and we will arrive and do the setting up :thumbsup2 perfect solution! Word of the wise to future DIY brides out there, if you are going to take on lots of projects make sure you: 1. have a way to get them there 2. have them organized so none of your lovely projects get left behind in the shuffle of the wedding and 3. HAVE LOTS OF HELP. #3 is super important because you don't want to be doing it all yourself on the big day and lots of helpers makes a stress free day :cutie: Happy Weekend!!!

Oh My!! That's alot of boxes!! Atleast the boys are going to help :thumbsup2
Happy Weekend!!

I know I almost fainted, but at least it's done and now I know the "damage" :rotfl:

YAY!!! Happy Weekend!!! :goodvibes I am actually off so this is a real treat!!

:)

So Scott and I went to our hometown (where the wedding will be) to do a food tasting with our caterer and it went well. We got to taste a bunch of really expensive way out of our budget food, but it was there so why not try it:lmao: We ended up deciding on a basic chicken dish so now I just have to fill out the forms and submit our final decisions to the caterer over the weekend via email :thumbsup2 One more thing we got done today, we went to the car shop Scott used to work at to pick out a car to take us from the reception to our hotel at the end of the night and everywhere in between. We ended up going with this one, I am super excited and the owner is loaning it to us for free! :woohoo:
