Scott & Vicki's Art Deco Wedding and Disneymoon May 29, 2011 *Wedding Day Report!

Yay for Le Cellier!!! And the dessert party!! We are going to do the dessert party as well, I can't wait to book it!!
Those programs and table signs look awesome!!! I wish we lived closer, I would LOVE to see it all in person!! And kudos to you for using "once" and "memento" All of them were great choices, but these were MY FAVORITE!!

We have a total of 15 different table names, those are def some of my favorites :) I wish you all lived closer it would be so much fun to see everyone's ideas close up! I seriously got so excited about that dessert party I almost fell of the couch!:rotfl:

So first of all, woohoo for Le Cellier! And the dessert party! :woohoo: I'm hoping to get a reservation for September, hopefully I'll be able to do that. A little tough when there doesn't seem to be any consistency to when they open it up for reservations! But that's definitely a bummer about your flight being moved. I'm also planning Narcoossee's the night we arrive, and it's one of the reasons we picked an earlier flight. I'm very frustrated too because we originally picked a flight that left at 10:30, giving us plenty of time to hang out in Disney, and we wouldn't have to get up TOO early. But now they've already pushed our flight back to 9:00 am, meaning that DF and I basically have to get up at 5:30 am to get it  Ugh. What airline are you flying?

The programs and table signs look gorgeous! I love that you picked two of my favorite movies - Moulin Rouge and Once. :thumbsup2

We are flying Air Tran, I have never flown with them before so hopefully it will be a good flight. I was so bummed about the flight change it's basically a waste of a day, we are going to try to do DTD and go to Planet Hollywood or something since they close at 1am, but we can't stay too late, because the buses stop at 2am :/ Hopefully we can get down there by 10:00 that way we have a little time to shop and time to eat something.

WHOOO HOOOOOOOO LE CELL' AND DESSERT PARTY!!!

:dancer: :dancer: :woohoo::yay::cool1::dancer::dancer:

You will definitely have to let me know how the dessert party is!! I totally want to book that for our first night there, but I want to have O'hana's that night too- we might be so full.... but it will be so worth it!! :lmao: Did they mention the price per person for the dessert party? I know the price keeps changing, and I haven't heard a definite answer yet!

I will be expecting your TR like.... within a week or two of your wedding girly... because we are going to have almost the exact same stuff!! :D And I want to see if I should change anything!!

OMGosh! I LOVE your program with the Playbill and the Cast of Characters!! That is tooooo cute!!! :lovestruc

I am going to take lots of dessert pics :) I know what you mean about being full we have a ressie at CRT and then the party is like 15 mins later:scared1: So I will probably skip dessert at CRT or just have a taste and a light entrée, I gots to eat some dessert at the party, it's priority!!! The price right now is $21.99 plus tax, you have to pay in advance and you can booked via website which is nice. Right now I think they are doing bookings like 3 months in advance for the parties. I will def be writing a TR, both a honeymoon and food one, since we are doing the Deluxe dining plan there is going to be so much food!!! Thanks for the compliments btw:thumbsup2

Small update today, I have begun working on the infamous photobooth that Dolly has suggested, if we go through with the whole thing is a diff story. Hopefully we have time and it turns out ok, I will post pics when we finish which won't be for a while, because we have to work on the main structure when we go to Scott's parents house because they have room to house it.

Also, I got in two of the shirts I am wearing into the parks for the honeymoon. The Disney store is doing a special 2 t shirts for $24 right now so I had to get in on the action:thumbsup2

Hi Vicki, one of my Bridesmaids is planning a Disney trip with her family at the end of the year, and when she came across your posts she recommended them to me. I'm not going to lie, the future hubs and I aren't planning a Disney wedding or honeymoon, and I've only been to Disney one time, so I joined these message boards strictly so I could comment on some of your ideas! I saw your earlier posts where you showed the two Alfred Angelo bridesmaids dresses you were considering, and then later on when I saw what dresses you decided on (which I LOVE!) and I realized you had changed your mind. Any specific reason why you chose these over the AA ones? I'm considering the AA ones for my wedding which is why I ask, and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be wasting my time (i.e. dresses fit awkwardly, cost, etc.). Thanks and good luck with your wedding! I'm very impressed with your ideas, it will be beautiful!

:wave2: Hi Erika! I am so honored to help a fellow bride with my input and thanks for checking out my page. I actually was heavily considering the first two, when I stumbled across the one that I ended up picking or should I say my bridesmaids ended up picking. I have been in a few weddings where I didn't get a choice on what dress I got to wear and ended up being very uncomfortable with the bride's choice, so I decided when I got married that I wanted to give me girls several options for dress choices, so I took the first two dresses I originally liked and the third and gave my girls the choice as to what dress to wear and they picked the third one. The dress I picked is actually AA as well all three are AA. Here is the pic one more time for you of the dress we ended up going with. It's AA 7063 in black trim/ eggplant
7063-600

I actually went to the AA store and had my matron of honor try on all three and they are all beautiful good quality gowns and I would recommend them all to you, so any one of them would be great, so don't worry about them being poor quality or anything and the price is fair as well. I actually went with a company called http://www.bestbridalprices.com/ because they had the best deals and great reviews. My dresses are scheduled to arrive next month. The one I chose is $159 and the other two range between $154 - $179. Thanks for checking out my page and for your compliments I hope this information helps and congratz to you, let me know if you have anymore questions and good luck with your planning! :cutie:

It doesn't surprise me that you said you're flying AirTran, because that's what we're flying as well. I also flew with them this past summer when I went down to Florida. They were great in person, and the actual flight and the whole procedure went really smoothly with no problems. The only thing is that they seem to change flight times a lot. I flew down in July and booked our flight in March, and they changed our flight time like 6 different times in that period. And as I said, they've already changed my flight time for September. So you never know, they may end up moving your flight earlier again - I would keep your reservation that night until the last possible moment you have to cancel it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they change my September flight to a little later in the day (like I originally booked!) but we'll see.

And those T-shirts are so adorable! I especially love the Paris one. I may have to make a trip to the Disney store soon...

Yay for Le Cellier and the Dessert party!! Le Cellier is AMAZING. I LOVE IT! =] Next time DF and I go I'll fight someone for a reservation there. hah.

Sorry to hear about your flight.. =[ I'm one of those who takes the early flight to get AS MUCH time in the parks as possible.. I'm crazy like that! haha.

And awesome tshirts! I had my card taken away from me until my bill is paid off.. but once I get that back I'm sure I'll be making a few wedding purchases.. haha. ;D

Oh wow I had no idea that, that happens all the time with flight changes. That's crazy, how are people suppose to plan their trips properly if they change the flights all the time. I already cancelled our ressie for that night we decided it would just be safer to do DTD that night and get it out the way. Let me know what happens with your times :)

We got in the groomsmen cuff links today here they are
photo-146.jpg

I just ordered them last Monday and they are custom so that is super quick, I highly recommend this seller. Her shop is The Clay Collection

Here's a picture of DF's cuff links too while I am at it :) He's a big Audi fan.

photo-145.jpg

I also ordered DF's ring from overstock last night, here is a stock photo

I will do a little review when it comes in, and more good news I got the Fantasmic Dinner Package today with the Hollywood Brown Derby! I have been trying since January to get it, so I am super glad it opened up today :woohoo:

I definitely think I am going to be using that seller for some cuff links for DF! :D I was going to get a gaming one... and then I saw the Dharma Initative ones from Lost... and now I don't know which ones to get!!! :lmao:

I love that black ring from overstock!!!! :thumbsup2 Let me know how it looks!!

I am also going to be doing the Fantasmic Dinner Package, but I think we might go to Mama Melrose... I don't think I saw anything at the Brown Derby's menu that caught my eye, but I could change my opinion with your TR!!! ;)

yay!! Those cuff links look amazing!!!!!

And the ring you guys chose looks very similar to df's. You will not be disappointed!! When we got ours in it looked so much better than I had even imagined!!

And I love HBD. We ate there last trip and it was wonderful. We are doing dining with an imagineer at HBD on this trip, and I can't wait!!

Congrats on the Hollywood Brown Derby! You've gotten some great ressies in the past few days! :woohoo: I guess that persistence pays off. Good to know so I won't be too disappointed if I don't get any of the places that I really want when I make my ADRs tomorrow!

Oh and by the way, did you order the shirts from the website or did you actually go to the store? Because I didn't see the Paris one online.

Yeah let me know if you end up ordering some! How is Mama Melrose, I have never had it before. We went to the Brown Derby last time we went to Disney they have an excellent pork chop, I am excited to go back, but I am very curious about Mama Melrose, is it character dining?

Oh and I forgot to tell you, I love the shirts!!

Thanks! You definitely have to do a review after you do the dining with an imagineer. How does this work usually?

I got it online, the stores here closed down about a year ago. They must have sold out of that shirt because I don't see either of them now. Keep checking I bet they will be back in stock soon:thumbsup2

Nope it is not. Just a themed Italian place... I am thinking I might change to HBD.... I can't decide!! I have heard mixed reviews on Mama Melrose?

I have heard amazing things about the Derby Cobb salad though!! :goodvibes

Its about 2 1/2 hours. You get an imagineer to sit with you throughout the entire meal and talk to them, ask them questions, etc. And you get 4 courses at the HBD :) Df is really into things like this, and it sounds like something I'd enjoy as well :)

Ooh that sounds good, I have never had it, I might have to try it. I can't remember what appetizer I got last time I was there, but DF got the crab cake which he said was pretty good.

That sounds pretty fun, you can learn about a bunch of Disney magic.:thumbsup2

I love the cufflinks!! I am definitely going to check out the store on ebay.

Thanks for telling us all about overstock. I found DF's ring there for $56:scared1: You can't go wrong at that price especially when we were at the jewelry store on Saturday and they wanted $250 for the same thing!!

I really wanted to do dining with the imagineer too! We were considering it, but DF was not that excited, and we were only planning one day in Hollywood Studios so it would take up a bit of time. Ultimately we decided not to this time but hopefully on a future trip - I can't wait til you do it so I can hear about how it is!

That's exactly how much we paid for DF's ring on overstock! Well, that plus the few extra bucks we had to pay to ship it back when he got the wrong size :rolleyes1

Mama Melrose I think is DELISH! DF was obsessed with it when we had gone. We did it for an early lunch though... then a late dinner I forget where. hehe.

Thank you so much, that awesome! I will probably just follow your lead and go to AA with my MOH and let her try on and decide then order them from bestbridalprices.com, it doesn't hurt to save some cash! I saw in an earlier post that you had some trouble with your bridesmaids ordering, I'm assuming you just meant that they ordered from AA instead of the website? I guess it would be best to place an order for all five of them at the same time on the website? Did you order your bridal gown from there as well? The prices are FANTASTIC! Thanks so much for the advice! Good luck with everything!
