Scott & Vicki's Art Deco Wedding and Disneymoon May 29, 2011 *Wedding Day Report!

Those shirts are adorable!! They have the groom shirt in stock, but not the bride shirt. Those men. They get everything.
And it doesn't help that I'm so impatient. I need it all. Like, yesterday.

It seems like they get those back in stock pretty quickly, just keep an eye out for them. :thumbsup2

Well....I was going to wait and finish the base of my brooch bouquet when my final 8 brooches came in, but I decided to attempt putting it together to see what it would look like and when I saw the finished product I realized it didn't need the final brooches so I went ahead finished it tonight! :cool1: It's not decorated yet mind you, but here is the "rough draft" if you will, I am just so glad this part is done it's exhausting :rotfl:

Your reservations and stuff look great! =] Seriously, planning my trips to WDW is my favorite part! ha. I have issues!

And your brooch bouquet is gorgeous! I'm so jealous. I wish I could find all them cool kinda brooches for cheap somehow! But everytime I look, it's a no go. ha.

I LOVE dining reports from honeymoons. I think we all should do one! :thumbsup2 I plan on doing one when I go! I already told df I'm taking over the camera!

Oh my goodness, Vicki!!! I LOVE THAT FEATHER BOLERO!!!!! :lovestruc That's so amazing! I've been trying to think of something feathery to add to my wedding and all I can come up with are centerpieces/hair facinators...but a feather bolero is so unique!!! I can't wait to see your whole outfit together!!!

Also, your bouquet is so beautiful!

Can't wait to see more!!! :goodvibes

Wow Vicki!!!

If my bouquet turns out half as well than I'll be over the moon!!

Did you get most of your brooches from ebay? I keep searching on there at the mo for suitable colours.

Haha, for sure! That should be perfecto! :rotfl:

Or I was thinking since my wedding may possibly be the final one of all of us, you girls should all come to Jersey! :rolleyes1

If you're serious, I could definitely be there. :thumbsup2 I'm close to Jersey and may even be moving there within the next year, depending on how things go :goodvibes

So I had a very lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng day today. I had to drive to my home town (where the wedding is located) to take care of some wedding stuff, one being a second meeting with our officiant. It went super well, he really understands our vision. He is incorporating a lot of "us" in the ceremony itself. He gave us a rough draft of the readings and a layout of our wedding ceremony and it definitely made the whole wedding seem more real seeing the words on the page, I am super excited!!! He is incorporating movie quotes into the ceremony and you wouldn't even know it because it was so subtle :) We met with FMIL (Scott's mom) today and she finished the calligraphy for the envelopes for the invitations! This means we can get them ready and send them out within the next two weeks! I also met with MOH (my sister) and we put on the finishing touches of the bridal shower plans and.....WE ARE HAVING A TEA PARTY! :woohoo: I can't wait for this it's going to be a lot of fun, I can't wait! I also met with Scott's sister, one of my bridemaids, and her shoes came in for the wedding and they look super cute. The poor dear didn't know how to walk in them they are her first set of heels, she's 15 :) They looked great though I told her to just take it to the stairs and that will help her. :thumbsup2 We finally got home at about 10:00 PM and I check the mail to find a myriad of wedding goodies I had ordered :cool1: I will post pictures of the them soon :goodvibes All around good day, but exhausting, I will post pics of all the stuff that came in as soon as I can get it organized.

Those are so many exciting things, yay! A tea party is such a cute idea, maybe I can suggest it to my MOH. Though we were thinking about having it Fourth of July weekend, which sounds more like a barbeque... but we'll see ;)

Thanks! I found most of them on ebay and at thrift stores. I paid about .99 for most of them and it took about 50 to make so, you think about how much a real bouquet would cost it was quite a bargain, I think it ended up costing about $150 or so do it, so not too bad :thumbsup2

Thanks! I love the bolero it turned out pretty good. I am glad I cut back on the cost of the dress so I could get one. The seller I bought from on etsy.com also does feather capes and they are a fraction of the price if you are interested, they are very lovely as well :thumbsup2

your bouquet is stunning! absolutely amazing! you did such a great job!

Wow Vicki!!!

If my bouquet turns out half as well than I'll be over the moon!!

Thanks! Yeah I got a lot of them from ebay about a 1/3 of the lot and 1/3 for thrift stores. Definitely check those out as well :) I can't wait to see yours!

If you're serious, I could definitely be there. :thumbsup2 I'm close to Jersey and may even be moving there within the next year, depending on how things go :goodvibes

Love love love it! So gorgeous! :lovestruc

I can't wait for the party, I went to goodwill today and bought like 4 vintage teapots and a tea set I can't wait to see them in action. I will definitely post lost of pics :)

Vicki, your broach bouquet turned out superbly! I just caught your first quote on the bridal shower. And I couldn't help but giggle, great minds think alike!

We'll be doing a tea party for our at home reception instead, but with a bit of a twist, here goes the Disney theme...a mad hatter tea party! So I've been scouring goodwill for teapots as well, I have some great cheap ideas for decor etc that I'll get posted here shortly and hopefully they'll be helpful! (I already have the cupcakes ordered, in the process of printing little tags for the 'eat me' and 'drink me' labels on foods/drinks, have my stuffed bunny with a pocket watch, and picked up tons of ikea napkins for 'tissue flowers', lol)

So if you're wanting to go over the top Disney, pull in a little Alice (or a little hatter depending on the occasion) ;)

I haven't been around much lately and just got to your pj, but I must say it is amazing! Your wedding is so unique and beautiful, I really would love to see pictures when it is all put together! You have the same basic colour scheme as my wedding, so I am a bit biased there, but everything else is unique and amazing. The brooch bouquet is amazing as well, you found some great pieces and have put it together really nicely. I cannot wait to see more!

The thought definitely crossed my mind!!! I am not hosting though so my opinion is a little more limited so I settled for the vintage version, though it would be amazing to do a Mad Tea Party! I can't wait to see pictures of yours :)
