Scored a free upgrade but......

When I called to give the PIN, they couldn't find it. We faxed the email to Disney as requested, and told us they will honor it, but it isn't effective until Wednesday and they will only honor the upgrade for a portion of our stay. We booked 5 nights under the giftcard promotion and then added two additional nights using the 35% off code. Guest Services will be calling me on Thursday after the PIN becomes effective, and she said she will see what she can do about adding our additional nights onto the upgrade. Has anyone else ran into this? SO excited about the upgrade, but not looking forward to down grading our last two days to a moderate if they don't upgrade our entire stay! Hoping for some good news on Thursday from guest services!!!

Free upgrade= our choice of Old Key West or Saratoga Springs, but we pay nothing more. We're already booked at POR and we have the option to upgrade at no additional cost.

So you got the upgrade but now want to add more days? You will probably get the place that you started at for the additional days.

oh congrats! We got that last year, but it was from all star music to ssr. May I ask what dates you booked?

I received an email about the upgrade. However, when I called to book it, they did not have a record of it and had to research the upgrade. Apparently they didn't see the PIN, because I was one of several that received the email upgrade before it should have been released.....whatever that means. lol
I don't want to add additional days- I had back to back ressies- the first 5 days on the gift card promo, and the second booking with the 35% discount. They will only honor the upgrade on the gift card promo- which means we'll stay at a villa for 5 nights and have to down grade to the mod for the remaining two days. Guest Services is checking into whether they can allow our entire stay to receive the upgrade. FINGERS CROSSED!

Last year they upgraded our grand gathering of 10 to 3 1 bedroom villas at SSR. So, you never know. Have everyone that is in your grand gathering make sure to check for the upgrade email. Then if someone has it, you can call to see if they will upgrade your whole group. It worked for us!!

You would get the email... but you will need to call your TA to check on the availability.
