Scooter Rental?

I know that this has been discussed in the past, but I'm having a difficult time finding the information I am looking for. My father, who was diagnosed with cancer recently, has decided that he would like to go on a trip to WDW before beginning chemotherapy. My mother and him will be traveling there in September.

Because he has some mobility issues now due to a recent surgery to take out the cancer, we are looking at renting a scooter. I looked on the DIS homepage and saw that Disney rents them for $50 a day. I also checked on the DISabilities forum. Isn't there a local, off-property company that rents them cheaper and delivers it to your Disney resort? I remember hearing about this before and just cannot find the information.

Any help would be appreciated!

My Mom has used Walker Mobility, a DIS recommended company. They are very well priced. My Mom's battery got low one day and they came to the park and replaced it in 30 minutes. Very impressive. I highly recommend them.

We always use Walker Mobility for my Dad's scooter rental needs. I think we have used them about 4 different times. His scooter broke down in Tomorrowland this past week (broken drive switch) and they had it replaced within 30 minutes.

My mom has used Randy's Mobility about 10 times now and we've been really happy with them! They bring the scooter right to our room (sometimes we arrive late at night and need it in the am) and have always been helpful. One time my mom said the scooter didn't "feel" right and they brought a new one right over. They have also thrown in some freebies since we use them so much. For example - a free sun shade for the week! I give them 2 thumbs up lol
