Hi all. I’m a Disney regular, but my mom will be joining me on this trip. She is going to need to rent a scooter, but I’m having some trouble understanding how it all works.
1. I know Scooterbug is the only company that will leave with bell services, but we don’t want to go with them. For delivery, how do you pick a time when you’re flying in? I mean, what if your flight is delayed? Will companies work with you for day of delays?
2. When you get to your resort, if you’re still waiting for your scooter rental, are there wheelchairs or any other options at the resort to help her get to her room? We booked a preferred room at POP, but she has a back injury and I’m concerned about her being able to walk the distance (she can transfer and walk, but not long distances).
3. Will these companies deliver the scooter to your room? Or the lobby only? Again, the concern is her walking around a lot. Will I be able to get it for her in the lobby if she books it under her name?
4. 4-6 hour charges don’t seem long to me? How easy is it to charge in park? How long does it take to charge? Will we be able to get through a full park day?
