I was wondering if you can get a scooter into these boats. Can not remember the answer. Does it depend on waves and height of boat or is it just not possible. Thanks.

Also anyone know how far the walk is from the Swan and Dolphin hotel is to Epcot another option if the boats can not take scooter.

Thanks for you help

We rode the boats from EPCOT to Boardwalk and later from MGM to the Beach Club. I use a wheelchair and my Mom uses an ECV. On some of the docks the water level was just right and on the ones where it was off abit they put down a ramp. Neither of us had a problem getting on or off of the boat. I can't say how your water levels will be when you're there but it was all fine last week.

Last week the dock at the Swan and Dolphin was closed for repair. I'm not sure what the options for people staying there are. Maybe they're running busses?

All the docks for the "friendships" (which are the Epcot/MGM service) are floating docks so the dock and the deck line up together. They will put down a ramp so you don't have to worry about the space.

The only boats that are definately a problem are the small boats which go between the MK and the MK resorts. Those have a few steps to get in so they are only accessible if you can get out of a wheelchair and have someone fold it and lift it on for you.

The boats that go between MK and WL are sometimes not accessible because of changing water levels. If that happens, they do have buses.

If you have an electric wheelchair/ECV and your traveling companions don't mind walking, it is much quicker to just take the pathway to Epcot and/or the Studios.

Going to the boat dock/waiting on the boat, then riding the boat with all the stops is much slower than just riding/walking the pathway.

It's about a 20 minute walk from Epcot to the Studios, so about 15 minutes from Swan/Dolphin to Epcot.
