Wondering if anyone can tell me what the movie clips are like here- are they old sci fi movies- the Blob etc. ?

Yeah...it's stuff like that.

I remember "The Thing" and "Attack of the 50 foot woman" but I don't specifically remember anything else besides the "let's go out to the lobby" sorts of ads. I think there might have been a cartoon...but only one.

I remember some clip about a devil woman! And also a commercial type of thing where they encourage you not to drive off with the speaker still attached to your car and to please return it (even if broken)!

The clips are so much fun, lots of corny ones which I can't remember now of course! They have that feel of from the 50's futuristic sci-fi movies. Gosh we can't wait to eat here again! It's one of our must do's.

There was also a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Some comericals from the 50's and some "scientific" clips about the future.

I remember a commercial of the kitchen of the future with a dishwasher that pops up out of the counter.

It is super corny black and white previews for sci fi films.

Hubby and I laughed the whole meal.

You can do a search on youtube. There are several videos that show clips of the screen.

Are you thinking about your kids or just curious? I ask because my girls only really paid attention to the funny commercials and when Tom and Jerry came on. The clips are not scary and I am one that really monitors what my girls watch on tv. We LOVE Sci-Fi!

My family had a great time watching all the old movie clips and classic drive-in concession ads. Colassal man in his giant diaper really cracked up DS8. The news of the future was pretty funny, considering none of the technology has really panned out.

But did you have the milkshakes at 50s Prime Time? 100x better!!! More like a homemade whipped milkshake. I had 2! Strawberry during the meal... and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Shake for dessert. I really just wanted to taste the PBJ one but was given a full size shake to go anyway! I almost finished it...

The monster clips are short... Frankenstein meets the Space Man, Devil Girl from Mars, etc....

You will have a blast!! The first trip we made to Walt Disney World we had the DDP and ate at the Sci Fi Diner. The second trip a couple of years later we only had the QSDP and did not go to the Sci Fi Diner. I thought my son (who is 14) was going to blow a gasket because we couldn't go!! It is pretty cool sitting in the cars - Our kids sat in front of us and we sat in the back seat
