Sci-Fi Surprise

We needed to use up our last table-serve meal under the dining plan (due to going off-site for outside activities). We warily tried the Sci-Fi for lunch after reading the many bad reviews of the food.

After an initial rocky start, the server wasn't familiar with the dining plan (it appears as this is common), we quickly received our lunch as ordered.

Everything was great, the appetizers, entrees: hamburgers, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich; and the sundaes were huge and tasty.

It was strange but fun to eat in the cars watching the campy trailers, will revisit during next trip for sure.

Glad you enjoyed Sci-Fi. DH and I had fun there on our first trip to WDW together. Even with a PS we waited forever, it was so popular.

We'll have to give it another try soon.

I have learned to read reviews carefully. Everyone has different tastes and expectations. Unless a place is universally trashed, I'll give it at least one try.

We've had lunch at Sci Fi twice and enjoyed it both times! We've always stuck to burgers, onion rings and shakes and have done just fine. I 'm glad you liked it!

It's really sad you guys have to go to wdw to see a drive in movie and eat in your cars. lol We still have one of the very lasst drive in movie theaters around. We don't go much becouse we are all early to bed people. But we take the frisbee and buy hamburgers and eat in ooour cars all the time, the only diff. is we see curant movies but don't have a convertable, daaarn,lol

Obviously, it's one of our favorite places. Stick to the basics there, and you'll be fine. We like the burgers and shakes. Plus, when the kids aren't looking, the DW and I loudly "smooch" in the backseat. Our kids love catching us at that.

Sci Fi is one of our absolute favorites, a must-do for lunch every trip, so I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

My teens love Sci Fi so we eat there every trip. Glad your family enjoyed their meal there.
