We have a party of 7, 4 adults and 3 kids. Couldn't get a rez together for Sci-Fi Dine in, so we made two seperate ones, 5 mins. apart. What do you think the chances are that we will get seated together? Should we approach the desk together and just ask and see what happens? I haven't been to Sci-Fi in quite awhile and can't remember the seating layout....what are the hitchhiker tables? Would love to have the adults sit at one table and the kids at another, close by of course! Thanks for any info :thumbsup2

When you check in, just let the CM know that the two parties are together... The last time I was in a large group at Sci-Fi we had to have a split ressie, too. The adults sat at one of the picnic table things at the back and the teens/kids sat in a car VERY close by. We had to wait a few extra minutes, but it was not an issue.

On the way out, I thanked the staff for being so accomodating. The lady told me that it was no problem. In fact, she said I could have come by the restaurant earlier in the day and let them know and they could have "tied" the two ressies on their screen. So, if you are free early in the day and can swing by, I might try that to avoid a wait.

Just my experience!

it is doubtful a party of seven will be seated in one car, unless the children are small enough for there to be at least one row with three persons to a seat. But if you don't mind sort of splitting up then just let them know when you check in. You might have to wait awhile longer.

What are the sizes of the children? We've gone as a party of 7 before and when we got there and the CM saw the size of the children, we were asked if we were okay with 3 sitting in one bench together. They were able to put us all together in one car. My son and daughter in law sat with their 3 year old son on one seat and then there were 2 people on each of the other 2 seats.

Good luck!

We a party of 8 with two reservations 5 min apart also. When we got there we told them we were together. We waited about 10 min or less and were seated in 2 cars right next to each other. We were traveling as a group of 13and had to make most reservations seperate. Only 1 TS out of 8 were we not seated right next to each other. Disney was very accomodating.

You will most likely be seated in the car - just let them know when you check in. We were a party of 7 last Sept. and were able to squeeze 3 kids in a row aged 9, 13, and 17! It promoted some family togetherness :goodvibes.

We have had to break up or reservations many times but so far has always been seated together, or right next to each other if it's a place like SciFi that doesn't have big tables.
