Sci fi, primetime, or ogas

Always a chance! I'd say the least likely is probably Oga's. In this thread several people comment that they haven't received a single alert on an Oga's opening. I'm in that boat as well - have had an alert set for a few weeks now and not a single notification of an opening. But perhaps they'll increase capacity for indoor dining and more spots will open. Fingers crossed for you! I'd also suggest setting the search for a party of four vs. three. For some reason, the Disney system struggles with odd numbers. Also when searching would search for a specific time not the generic meal (e.g. lunch, dinner) - that seems to be another quirk of the system

Primetime and Sci-Fi you have a decent chance, and they also both have walk-up lists.

Oga's is less likely. Due to indoor capacity, they can only serve 4 pairs and 8 bigger parties, and each group gets a 45 minute time slot. So spots are limited and very few people will give them up. Pre-COVID it was less of an issue because they would combine parties in booths and had standing room space, but now they keep parties separate.

By your list, I'm guessing you're looking for food.
Ogas really doesn't have much of anything for food. It's a really well themed bar.
Agree with Primetime being the most likely to have something available.

I've been to ogas at disneyland. In a perfect world I would have primetime or sci fi and ogas.

I've read numerous reviews that say Sci Fi has pretty suspect food... Is there anyone that has a different perspective?

We eat at SciFi all the time. We've been there 3 or 4 times in the last 12 months. We taste nothing suspect.

One of the reasons SciFi is popular is that it is one of the less expensive Table Services restaurants. Mind you, its food options are limited but paying $19 for a burger is preferable to paying (for example) $24 for fried chicken at the Prime Time Café or $22 for spaghetti & meatballs at Mama Melrose.

But I would love if everyone else thought SciFi food was suspect. It would make booking their much easier. :)

I agree that 50s Prime Time is the most likely. Back in October I was able to find same-day availability there during our trip. We've tried the wait list at Sci Fi before and they will add you, but they basically say they can't guarantee when or if you will get in. Could be 30 minutes, could be 3 hours, could be not at all. I think Sci Fi is more popular than 50s, and it has less seating. People probably also loiter watching the "movies" shown too.

In case its not apparent, Oga's is not a good spot for a meal IMO. Some of the space a reservation will get you is standing room only and they really only have appetizer-type foods on the menu.

For me it's always been consistently good. Not stellar, but solid. It's expensive for what it is, but you're paying for the theming.

Edited to add: though my family still laughs about the Orange Fish that used to be on the menu back in the 90's. My sister and I insisted we both wanted it, despite our parents trying to tell us otherwise. It was so disgusting, I can still taste it. Anyone remember the Orange Fish?

Sci-Fi is one of our 3 ‘must do’ restaurants - the others are Via Nap (pepperoni pizza) and Mama Melrose (steak). We usually get the specialty burger and/or club sandwich at Sci-Fi

I would agree that the food at Sci Fi isn't great, but we've never had a bad meal there. If you are expecting gourmet there, you won't get it.
Their menu is mainly burgers, but they do them well. And really good milkshakes.
We love watching all the old, bad sci fi movies.

Lucky to have gotten a ADR for Sci Fi in July. From past experience food was just average but you won't find that atmosphere anywhere else.

Just ate there last week and we all really enjoyed our burgers. Very tasty and filling. We all thought they were better burgers than B&C the prior day. Fries were better too. It was hard to see your food, but it all tasted really good.

Sci-Fi is definitely more about the atmosphere, but it's a priority for us every trip, and we think the food is pretty good, particularly the burgers and shakes.

I completely agree that Sci Fi is one of the most unique environments. Burgers and shakes aren't anything to write home about---but they aren't bad either. Prime Time is fun, but not as fun as it used to be. Back in the day they had more antics and teasing than what they do now. Our family always picks Sci Fi when we go, but Primetime would be our second choice for a sit down in that park.

Lots of strong opinions here: I love it. Might have to consider this over 50’s.

Suspect also might not have been the best adjective choice, as average or mediocre are probably more accurate.

Thanks to TP reservation finder I got Sci-Fi around 2 weeks out from our trip so there is hope!!! It was a first for us as we usually do 50's. We really enjoyed the food. The bbq burger was super yummy. DS got the specialty burger and loved it.
