Sci Fi or 50's Prime Time

Never been to 50's so can't compare. We ate lunch @ Sci-Fi during our last trip to Disney since the place next door was closed for renovation and the other choices in that area of the park mostly served fast food. No idea why some think that place is so amazing. The food was very average. Those cars make conversation a bit awkward if your party has more then 2 people. We were able to get one of those regular tables at the back of the room. The short movie clips won't mean anything if you are under the age of 50. The place seemed dingy and in need of a refresh. Isn't somewhere we would ever eat again.

Both places have forgettable menus, but we find the atmosphere at Sci-Fi more to our liking. Both are good choices, just different dining experiences.

I’m not going to say it was absolutely amazing, but I felt like the 50’s comfort food is slightly better than being portrayed in this thread. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere (know this is guest specific).

Count me in as someone who prefers 50's, both for the atmosphere and the food.

We have been to both many times and over the last few years 50's has gotten worse. We still love Sci-Fi so my vote goes there!

Another vote for Sci-Fi. It's nothing fancy, but the food has always been good, and the cars and movies are fun.

I'm literally 50/50 on 50's (lol...did not intend that!). The first time we went we loved it, loved our server, loved our food. So we went back on our following trip and our food was gross and our server was just plain rude and made us feel very uncomfortable about using our DVC discount. We won't go back.

Been to both and like them equally. Food is good in different ways. Both are good choices and would be a coin flip for us. I think Sci-Fi is a great experience for the atmosphere at least once, theming is unique, but you could have a really fun time at 50s with a group depending on your server.

As of a year ago 50s. We're not back around to them on rotation but 50s menus have always been more our style. We love fine dining but there is a certain comfort in the diner style banter and theme.
