Sci Fi or 50's Prime Time?

I much prefer Sci Fi...enjoyed the milkshakes, dinner & desserts. I have given PT 3 tries and I have not enjoyed my dinner 1 time. They have good desserts & loved the themeing & the milkshakes though. :goodvibes

The food at SciFi was terrible. I would eat another counter service meal before I ate there again. 50's is a good show with decent food.

We've eaten at both and won't return to 50's. We always try to fit Sci-Fi in for a lunch at least once each trip. The kids (5 & 9) love sitting in the car and if you want a more 'table like' seating arrangement they have round picnic tables available and have standard tables that have the car nose and rear on it. IMHO, Sci-Fi has a pretty good lunch menu, we've always had good food and the service has be really good 90% of the time. At 50's the food was just eh and the service was good only 33% of the time.

Prime Time has been a long time favorite. Food has always been good. Service has seen it's ups and downs.

Sci-fi always seems like a bums rush, with OK food.

I really like both, went to Sci Fi for lunch this past trip and really enjoyed it. It has a very cool atmosphere. I try to keep it simple there, burger, onion rings both very good. Our 50's meals have always been very good, their fried chicken is excellent and some of our interaction with the waitstaff has been very memorable. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I'd choose 50's Prime Time. We thought the food was much better there. I had the meatloaf which was alright and the wife and kids had the fried chicken which they really liked. At the Sci-Fi my wife and doughter got the ribs and there were downright nasty. Son had the Reuben which he liked and I had the Steak and Bleu salad which is pretty hard to mess up. The Peanut Butter cake for desert was kind of hard and stale too.

We ate at 50's PT in June and Sci fi in March. We enjoyed both and thought the food was good at both places. I prefer 50's PT over sci Fi though. I didn't like the seating arrangement at SciFi, we shared an appetizer and DS literally had to turn around in his seat to share. Also, to me, SciFi just seemed like an expensive counter service. The burgers and sandwiches were good but not much better than any CS place. 50's PT is more of a home cooking type meal. I thought it was a nice break from all the "park food".

I thought the food at 50's was mediocre at best. I do not eat fried chicken unles it is boneless (so I didn't even consider that, plus it came with "greens" - blergh!), and the pot roast and pot pie were just average - I make much better at home myself. I also don't like the "gentle ribbing" aka harrassment from the CMs. Not my cup of tea, although I can understand how someone who enjoys a HungryMan dinner and that kind of humor can have a ball there.

While I didn't think the food at Sci-Fi was spectacular (the burger was competent, the onion rings and shake were pretty darn good), the atmosphere was great and I loved snuggling with my hubby in the backseat of the "car."
