Sci-Fi Drive In?

We had a good meal there in last October. Our appys were really good - the spinach and artichoke dip and the 7 bean chili.

We ate there in October. It was cool and dark inside which was wonderful! It allowed us all the opportunity to get recharged again. This year we were going to try Prime Time. DS7 heard of our idea and was so sad that we weren't going to eat in the car again! Dinner at Sci-Fi is so relaxing. My boys just sat and ate -- every once in a while they need a meal without mom and dad pestering them!! Needless to say, we are not going to Prime Time on our next trip!

We eat there every year!!!!! The kids love it. The food is good, a lot of different choices. The atmosphere is great!!!!

I've been doing a lot of reading and trying to figure out where to eat each day of our trip. My mom and I think the Sci-Fi Drive In looks so cool, but keep reading about how horrible the food is and that it is way overpriced. We almost always do counter service or vendor carts when we go to theme parks. Is the food all that bad, or is it just people who are expecting more than junk? Just curious because it looks like a great atmosphere and that's what we like the most.

Wonderful atmosphere, the food is actually very good, it's just I have never seen a menu so limited. We have gone there twice, I think thats enough. But it is great if you have never been!

DH and I did this a few years ago, and split a sandwich for lunch. We did it for the experience, and the food was pretty good, just a little pricey, but hey what isn't in Disney?
DH wants to do it again LOL. We would probably just split something again.
Go for it! You could always just get a milkshake or something!

Our family has dinner reservations there a week from today!!! I've read lots of mixed reviews, but most of the good ones have been from lunch with the burgers and shakes. I'm looking forward to it, regardless.

Can someone explain the seating to me? We would be a party of 4. how will we share the artichoke dip? :)

Looks to me like we'd be sitting in groups of 2 facing forward.

We ate there and find ourselves in the "tried it, didn't like it" camp. The theming was fine, but I just can't go for paying premium $$$ for what it effectively counter service food.

If going to SCIFI stick to the items on the menu that is for the time...ie..burgers ..sands ect...you will be ok...shakes ect are good...dont go for items like pasta or seafood ect...kids love this place and it is a nice exp...love the movies and theming...it is a good place to eat and take a break during the hot summer months..like i said just do the basics on the menu.for a party of 4 you would be seated in a car 2 in front 2 in back

they have tables for four that aren't the bench seats that you've seen, but just regular chairs. you could always request one of those instead if you would rather be facing each other to share stuff.

i found a pic for you. it's the blue car in the picture....you can see the table and chairs.

We ate there on Mother's Day weekend and hated it. We were a party of 4, and to me, I didn't like sharing a meal facing half of my party's backs. I paid way to much for a turkey sandwich, and it was so dark in there that I couldn't visualize my food very well. (I like to see what I'm eating) To each their own. I'm glad that we tried it, but we wouldn't go back again.

That's good to know that they have tables that are still in the cars section... I know this has come up before, and everyone seemed to think it wasn't a problem, but my pooh-sized self has had to squeeze into the last couple restaurant booths I've sat in. Most booths have a little give to them, the table and/or the chairs typically arn't bolted to the floor. But I doubt the cars at Sci-Fi are like that :/
