I know I left it till late, but do you think there's still a possibility of a reservation opening being available for lunch in the last week of October? No big deal, might just have to be something I look forward to for another trip. Was hoping for a Monday lunch, but can't find much available when I look it up on MDE

Just keep trying. People cancel/change all the time, even up to the actual day. If you seriously have no luck, still try on the day you go. Also they take walk ups, but you won't get a car table. You'll be in back at the picnic tables.

luvpooh yeah I've been trying for the same day for lunch. Actually been trying for several days around that hoping I could get something even if I have to re arrange a few things. But no success finding anything. I'll have to try Touring Plans reservation finder. But ultimately I guess it's something to look forward to for another time (although I really really like the look of that cheesecake on the menu lol) Oh well, I'll keep trying, you never know what might come up.

I have had a request (or whatever) in for Touring Plans for a November date for a couple weeks and haven't received a notice. I have also checked several times a day. I have looked at 2 or 4 guests as well as our party of 6. I have looked for lunch or dinner and at all the days the week we will be there, just out of curiosity. I haven't found any openings! I did check this week, and if we were in Disney this week, there are several openings. So, I'm hopeful that if I keep checking, even that week, maybe something will open up. My DH's birthday is the day we'll be in Hollywood Studios, so I would like to eat lunch or dinner there because we had a lot of fun there last time we visited.

I don't remember this being a hard reservation to get last time we visited, so I don't know what's going on. I've seen openings for everything else in my searches, even CRT, but no Sci-Fi!

I started a Touring plans hunt yesterday for a Sept lunch have had 2 notifications so far. 1st I was sleeping 2nd not a good time for us. You do need to restart every time it alerts you.

My family and I are going to WDW next week. I've been trying to get a lunch reservation there for the past few months and finally got one earlier today for July 6th at 1:30 pm. Keep trying, people cancel all the time.

I second this! I used it and just yesterday got Akershus for our November trip.

Definitely keep checking- I just dropped our August lunch ADR. It's our day one and I didn't want to chance missing our ADR if our incoming flight was delayed.

Keep trying. I just booked a lunch adr there for 12:15 less than 2 weeks out. It looks like some changes to the menu since we were there last. Looking forward to it.

I usually never made a reservation for the Sci Fi dine in we would just show up and the most we ever waited was 1/2hr . I am thinking of making one this time for our up coming Fall trip though

WOW! That's a long time. We usually go the end of October don't know if that has an effect. I guess we have just been lucky

I am currently booking for the 3rd week of September. Couldn't find anything at all (MAJOR disappointment as this is my most fav restaurant) but then suddenly by accident a ressie opened up for dinner and I grabbed it. Its not really the time I wanted but Ill rearrange other plans so we can be guaranteed to go!

If you don't have an ADR when you leave, always check up until the day of. People hoard reservations - they can't possibly decide where they want to eat so far in advance - and then drop them at the last minute, so I've heard of many stories of people getting huge reservations (BOG, CRT, etc.) right up until the day of. I would think something at Sci-Fi would definitely open up.
