My DD6 would love to eat here on our upcoming trip, I'm a bit nervous about making a reservation though as my DS will only be 22 months. Do they have high chairs/booster seats as I worry he'll be too small for the booth?
TIA

We took our 14 month old. We were seated in a center car. It looks like a car but is really a table with chairs. We were given a high chair in place of one of the chairs.

He will be fine. I would imagine he's fine with a booster seat? They have those. I'd take this opportunity to get your daughter a great experience and the almost two year old will be in a booster seat like I'm sure he is at most other restaurants. Shouldn't be anything different from an Applebee's, a TGI Friday's, a Chili's or anything else along those lines.

Argh - just saw you aren't from this country. Yes, your almost two year old will be fine. Booster seats are readily available for kids of all ages.

We ate there last year (in a car) and they gave us a highchair for a 16 month old and a booster for a two year old. Both were fine in/next to the car.

We have taken both kids around that age (one was 19 months and the other 21 months) and never used a booster or high chair at Sci-Fi. Since it was just 2 adults the first time and a toddler, he sat between us and did fine. The next time DD went, she stood or knelled on the seat and in general is much too active for a booster. But they do have them but if there are 3 of you, you will have one kids in one row of seats and the other in a different row. (Most rows only fit 2 - maybe three if it is children or small adults with kids.)

You know that the restaurant is dark with what could seem to be scary movies to a toddler. If your child would be ok with that then he would enjoy the cars.

Yes, the restaurant is dark and we find ourselves pulling out a penlight in order to see the menu. However, that's part of the entire experience. I wouldn't expect a drive-in movie theatre to have lights shining down into the cars. The entire place is set up to reflect a true drive-in movie experience and it does it very well.

Also, for the scariness factor, if you are concerned about that, just go out on youtube and you'll be able to view the 42 minute loop of the clips. Most are just B movie trailers that wouldn't scare anyone but view for yourself.

As a previous poster mentioned they have two styles of cars. One is like you nearly always see which is a car with rows if booths as the car seats.
The other is like the one below where it is a car front and rear with a normal table for six with regular chairs that can be replaced with a high chair.

This pic also shows how dark it is. there are lights that shine onto the table, but yet don't disturb the movie watching :)

We took ds there at 15mo and he sat in a highchair directly next to my seat in the car. When we go next year he will sit in a booster. He was fine with the darkness/movies.
