Yes I am posting a stroller question for the simple fact that I can't just go into a store and try these out b/c they don't carry them in local stores around here. I have tried searching for local dealers of these strollers and so far appearance wise they are the same they are even called the same model just a different brand name and weight limit but I am also trying to get info on they seat itself b/c I need it for my dd4 and she needs the most support that she can get. If anyone has any info on these two brands or you know where I can get some info please let me know. I need to purchase one w/in the next two weeks for an upcoming vacation.

These are the three models that I am looking at.
(this one is my favorite but am somewhat worried about the way my dd will sit in it b/c I don't really want her feet hanging off of it too much)

(I like the way the seat sits up above the foot rest a little more than the others so that maybe dd's feet will not be hanging over)

I wish I knew better how to answer you, b/c I have the red model they show in the "weather shield" link on the first page you linked to. DS really loves it, he gets very cozy. When he falls asleep on walks, he's usually bundled up (neither one of us likes heat all that much so we don't tend to go out when it's warm) and I usually bundle a blanket all around him, including around his feet so they stay in one place. :)

For the user, it's plush. The swivel wheel is great, though if you're going in a straight line quickly definitely lock that front wheel (easier). I can take one finger and spin it around (something my son loves) in a circle, it's that easy to move around.

It does take up some room, though, and it's heavy to carry when folded up. And folding took some practice. With mine you have to press down on a thing with a foot while pulling on a lever with a hand...feels a bit like a sobriety test! :rotfl: But maybe they've changed that for the newer models you're looking at.

I bought mine site unseen, too...

Hope you can get answers from someone with the exact stroller, not just someone with an older version. :goodvibes

It probably is, but I remember having a VERY hard time figuring out what was what with the Schwinn Instep Safari hybrids, LOL. Finally just had to order, hoping I liked it!

Oh wait, they actually have a list of discontinued products now! Seems mine is this, though mine doesn't have the grey at the front of the hood.

The chocolate one...I don't understand the seat, b/c it looks like they have an iinsert for a little bitty baby in there. Since the stroller goes to 50 lbs I don't think that roll thing stays in there...because they have that in the picture, it confuses me to figure out the "truth" of how the seat works.

I don't know if this will be helpful, but this is a pic of my kiddo in the stroller. In the picture he's 3.5, over 40 inches tall. Sorry it doesn't show how his feet hit the foot thing, but maybe you can see size of boy and stroller for some sort of reference.

Sorry I can't help more directly.

I can attest to the quality of the brand. We had a double Schwinn for 5 years and loved it. We were hard on the jogger and it held up very well. Purchased ours from babybungalow.com - great service!!

Happy Stroller Hunting!!

Thanks bumbershoot, your pic helped out alot and the one you posted is the same model as the yellow and grey on its just last years model from what I can tell they redesigned the seat so the brown which is the 2008 model looks funny and the headrest thingy makes it harder to determine how the seat sits. I looks like it doesn't sit straight up where the red one and the grey one sit up more that is the hardest part about not being able to walk into the store and look at them and test them out. Also the step/wheel cover in the front is it slanted down significantly or not much at all.

The front wheel cover is horizontal.

The back of our stroller's seat reclines, by the way.

Here's another picture from when DS was newly 2 (wow we've had it for almost 2 years???) that shows a bit more of the stroller.

just saying, check the weight capacity on them also. We were looking and a bunch only went up to 40 lbs, most 50 lbs and some like the one I want to get go up to 75 lbs. Not that I would put a 75 lb child in it, but when you add your diaper bag, water bottles and stuff, that adds weight. HTH.

Which one/brand is the one you want?

The InStep and schwinn hold up to 50 pounds I just found out last night after doing some more reading but there is a website that I looked at that says the schwinn holds up to 70 pounds and I was leaning more towards it even though I wasn't crazy about the colors but now I am going with the instep b/c there is no weight difference. Now on the other had I did really like the idea of the stroller holding up to 70 b/c dd4 doesn't walk so the idea of a high weight stroller is helpful especially a jogger style b/c the wheelchair and the mac techno we have are barely functional on anything other than a sidewalk.

We bought a Dreamer Design Manhattan Lite last yr for our then 4yr old. He is tall for his age and the other strollers like the one you posted links too were too small for him. I tried one out at Target (I think it was a Baby Trend Expedition but VERY similar to the first one you posted about) and his feet completely hung off the foot rest. It was wonderful for us to push (even dh who is 6'2") but no way would ds have been comfy in it for very long. I would say he was about 42-43" tall at that time.

We found the DD stroller on ebay when they were clearancing out their '07 models and IIRC that was in June... got a good deal, about $175 for the stroller plus rain cover which comes in VERY handy at WDW. Here's some pics of it including ones with my ds in it for reference:
