There have been articles in our paper lately about an incident that happened at ds12's school. A 7th grader was talking about having a gun and the school officials took it seriously after several students came forward with the story.

This is the first I have heard of it, which surprises me since we live in a small town. What gets me is that the parents are mad and are threatening to sue the school AND the police! I for one am glad that they took it seriously and investigated.

I don't know the family, but I do know the school officials as I deal with them a lot due to my ds' IEP. I find it real hard to believe that they were threatening this kid. So far the parents have said nothing of an apology about their son scaring the other kids with his gun talk.

So sad that the schools have to deal with these types of things.....

That's really scary. Those parents have a lot of nerve threatening to sue the school. They just don't want to admit their son (and themselves)are nuts.
