As long as any and all suggested regulations that are being proposed for guns (2nd amendment) are put into place for all other amendments.
Free speech- did you take a course? Pay the accompanying tax?
Speedy trial- that requires a background check, waiting period, and taxes.
Voting- where's your permit? Theirs a tax stamp of $10,000 like a previous poster suggested for gun ownership.

This thread is a perfect example of why things never change in your gun culture. Even when people make suggestions for things to change there are always a few people who tell you it won't work without even trying them.

Let's do away with schools and everyone can home school. There. No more school shootings. And it's doing something.

I don't think you can discount this man's suicide so easily. He chose to kill himself in a school parking lot for a reason: he attended the school as a child. Luckily, the school had been closed since June but it's not clear that he was aware of that. He returned to his former school to commit suicide and no one knows what else he had in mind or what he would have done if the school was open.

But, the reality is that this isn’t what we think of when someone says, “school shooting”, and honestly it fits into an entirely different category.

Terrify you into what, looking around and seeing the world for what it is. Their monthly magazine has true stories (The Armed Citizen) of self defense scenarios every month. I never said 10million was a majority, I was defending them from your calling them a "terrorist group"

I have no idea who the NRA really represents, however my DH had a very good way to make a change. People should stop their memberships. If they do not make membership fees, they may look differently at how much they pay politicians. The amounts are staggering to me.

Gerrymandering has removed the ability of many of us to have our voices heard. My Congresswoman does not listen and will not talk to anyone that does not support her extreme beliefs. I have respectfully and concisely tried to communicate with her and she simply will not reply or even acknowledge any message. And she is in a safe seat that stretches awkwardly from one end of the state to the other carving out any area that might challenge her. I am not represented.
