school rivals!

I was thinking about that concept today..
Because every year our schools rival school paints the shack(snack bar by the football field) blue(their schools color). Which is mean because the seniors paint their names on it every year!
I love it when the new 6th graders on thebus get all mad about it !

I am not going to say the name of my school, but my Rival School is Yulee. They hate us and we hate them because they seem to hate that we are on the Georgia side of the boarder and they are in Florida. Kinda stupid, but that was long before I ever was going to the school before that rival was made.

We only play them in sports once per year for Football & Basketball. But for the football game we(meaning the seniors and juniors) mostly go down to there school and toilet paper there whole football field and stadium. And if we are playing there we spray paint there field with the words Suck underneath there school name and emblem.

They have a tendency of coming to our school and raising there school flag and colors on our schools flag pole.

I think it is all fun in what we do. I don't think either of the schools would break windows or spray paint the building or anything like that.

We don't have a specific rival.
There's one school that just hates us because we're a prep school apparently that only cares about ourselves (which isn't true).

There seems to be one close town that doesn't like us.

During football rallies the coaches take their rivals plastic helmets [Just little things they have] And threw a weight at it breaking the helmet. Kinda violently it's a little scary. Even more scarier when the coach doesn't even scratch the helmet with it then when he tries to kick it, he misses. hahaha.

And when we lose...I'm a little scared of the angry people at our school. lol.

our school rival is St. thomas more knights. at every homecoming game they always mouth off to our players and our fans and that starts fights.

This year, a couple of kids went over to our rival school and bleached their field :O
They also painted some windows, I heard.

I think it's kind of funny, but, I wonder what they are going to do to us next year

We have 2 schools that we consider our main competition as far as sports go but I don't think it has every gotten to the point where anyone did anything to the other school. This reminds me of an episode of Saved By the Bell when they were in a war with their rival school. That was a funny episode!

Our rival hates us.
I mean HATES us.
But only because we're better in football.

I don't know of any vadalizing or anything going...
But my dad just informed me that once, when their school mascot (Indian) statue was outside the stadium, some of the kids went and cut the head off.
Then, in return, they spray painted our city limit's sign.
Now their statue sits inside the stadium.

Also, this year we play them at their stadium, which means the band will be marching facing their press box which means we will be getting obscenities shouted at us.
Like I said, they HATE us.

Oh, and of course their's always a few fights after the game.

I go to the small town of chatham Illinois but our schools go by glenwood and our initials are GHS ( Glenwood High School)

The onl reason that we have rivals is because people think that we a all little rich kids just because we have the most choices in the whole state of illinois and to them that means we are all rich ( which we arent)

And i springfield fo high school for a good high school education you either go to GHS or our rivals SHG ( notice what shg backwards is )

These two schools are great and when we have a football game at our stadium there is usuall 20,000 people come ( and that is close to the whole population of chatham.) so that shows our rivalry

SHG has written on our school sign shg and it hasnt come off yet after 4 years being there.

but we dont do anything big to each other

In college, Gettysburg's rival is Franklin & Marshall. But it's not that big of a rival.

High school, on the other hand, we had a HUGE rivalry.
In my town, there are 3 high schools... North, South, and East. East isn't really a rival of North or South as it is the newest one...
But the North/South rival is HUGE. The football game is (literally) called 'The Civil War'.
My freshman year, the game was at the end of October, and both North and South were undefeated. OMG was that game crowded. They even added extra bleachers near the endzones to fit all the people.

But, luckily, the Civil War has proved true for the last 6 years, with North beating the South every time. yayyy. (I went to North, by the way. lol)

We play eachother in football every year. Also basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, golf, etc. Even our marching bands even go to a competition together and try to beath eachother out.

I really don't care about the whole rival thing. Expecially what happened for the football game this year. One of North's football players drowned by trying to save his girlfriend. So what South did was made up a chant that said "Number 6 Can't Swim." Then for the football game they wore shirts saying "Don't Swim With #6." It was horrible.

I'm assuming he died? Thats a terrible thing to do, make up a chant. That is going TOO far.

What do they do to your school/your school do to them? We simply hate their guts.
What do you think of it? I join in the fun by getting all hyped up like everyone else when we play them in sports.

What do they do to your school/your school do to them? At pep rallys and stuff we have like cheer offs. It's fun
What do you think of it? Oh I think it's hilarious! Especially when we beat them at Field Hockey, it's joyous
