Sorry, but when it comes to being responsible for 19 children in my classroom, I'm not taking any chances about whether or not to wipe down common areas with antibacterial wipes. We're also practicing good handwashing techniques, because you'd be surprised how many children come out of the restroom or blow their nose and then not wash their hands with soap and water.![]()
I personally don't disagree with daily upkeep of cleanliness. What I think is futile is when a certain number of kids come down with it (H1N1) at college and a group of parents decide to go to the college dorms and "disinfect" the dorms. I think it's a waste of effort. Sure, it's nice that the dorms got clean because they probably needed it, but it won't stop the spread of H1N1.
