School Bread at Epcot's Norway Pavilion

I tried it on our last trip, to see what the fuss was all about! It was good! I would get it again. It does have an odd peppery flavor to the bun part that you have to get use to. I guess that must be the cardamom? That's not a spice I use so I don't know! But it was good. I would honestly like it better withour the peppery flavor but I guess then it would be just like a donut. I also had the same experience with the Gaston's cinnamon bun as some others. It was good. It was a cinnamon bun. It tasted pretty much like a lot of other cinnamon buns I've had. I hate to say it, but not that special. It's just a cinnamon bun. Good, but not great.

I've been considering trying the school bread, but thanks to this thread, I don't think I will.
There's a lot of other stuff I would rather use my snack credits on!
Thanks for posting, OP!

I waited years to try the School Bread, and finally took the leap this summer. I loved it! It's not too sweet, which was a pleasant surprise because it looks overly sweet. I liked it so much I went back 2 more times that trip. I never had a stale one, they were all fresh tasting and so good. It's one of my new favorites!

I've tried it. It's not the be all end all. A bit dry.
I'll keep strolling down to Germany and have something at the caramel shop. Now THAT'S worth every calorie!

I didn't really like it, but I don't like coconut. We always buy the leftse and take it back to the room to eat for breakfast!

I am not a fan of coconut either. I can take or leave it. Mostly leave it. But it "looked" good. My thought was to scrape off the coconut because I will be a big fan of the cream.

To clarify, I meant School Bread, not the Troll Horn. I didn't see your previous post. I have never had the Troll Horn. Apparently you have already decided against School Bread.

The school bread is good IMO. I would at least try it.

My number one place is the French pastry shop. Everything is great.

I had it once. everyone should try it. It’s a once and done for me. I do like dole whips. But won’t always get them. I’m a fan of sugar but school bread had an odd taste for me

It's just... blah. Waste of money and calories in my opinion. Much better options in Epcot!

Oh crap, I got the school bread and leftse mixed up in my previous post. When she goes to Norway (the country, not the pavilion) my daughter likes the prepackaged leftse they sell there, not the nice bakery kind. The school bread was OK, I guess? But the leftse was not good at the pavilion?
