Scat Cat Club at POFQ?

Hi,
I would like to know more about the entertainment at
the Scat Cat Club at POFQ. Does anyone know if there
is someone preforming every evening? and what time does the
show start? Thanks

Elliot Dyson performs there Wed-Sun. I think it's like 8-12am.

Just wanted add that Elliot is fantastic! He sings, plays the Sax and Steel Drums. Don't miss him if you stay at FQ!

My sister and I enjoyed listening to Elliot when we were at POFQ last Nov. Grab a drink and a seat--it's a relaxing way to end an evening.

One of the great pluses of both PO-FQ and PO-R is the live entertainment at Scat Cat's and the River Roost lounges. Elliot Dyson and Bob Jackson are both wonderful. It is a great thing to come back fronm the parks and sit down, have a cold drink (draft beer for me) and relax and listen to live music. It is what makes Disney special. We are going back to WDW in Sptember and are able to stay at the Beach Club because of free dining, but are planning a dinner at Boatwrights (free) and hop to see Elliot and Bob.

Live Entertainment

The lounge bars in both of the Port Orleans resorts feature free live entertainment on selected evenings - normally Wednesday through Saturday nights from 8:30pm until midnight. The shows are always lively and fun, and are well worth a visit for all the family - but please remember the local drinking age restrictions!

• Playing the River Roost Lounge at Port Orleans Riverside is the famed “Ye Haa” Bob Jackson. Bob performs a very popular piano sing-along comedy show with lots of audience participation - let him know if you’re on your honeymoon or request your wedding song! Bob has been performing at the River Roost Lounge since May 1997 and you can check out his website for more information at www.yehaabob.com.
• At Scat Cat’s Club at Port Orleans French Quarter you will be entertained by Elliot Dyson, awesome saxophonist, poignant and rocking vocalist, bluesy guitar player with some steel drums added to the mix. He too has a web site giving more information on his shows at www.elliotdyson.com.

Yes, the lounge areas are not age-restricted at all (although drinking alcohol is, obviously)

we are going to be at POFQ at the same time (9/5 - 9/12?). If I'm right, please join us for a small DIS meet at Scat Cats on Wed 9/10 probably some time around 9PM. It'll just be a few people who met last year at Pop Century. We'd love to have you!!

LOL, how did you find an 11 year old thread? There have been at least three changes of lineup since this was last posted to.

Currently, Jason Thomas and Billy Varnes, two members of the fabulous Off Kilter rock band which used to play in Epcot’s Canada pavilion, perform at Scat Cats, usually Saturday-Tuesday, but recently they've added Fridays into the mix too.

Have you ever gone down the riverside lounge for the entertainment there Wednesday through Saturday ?? We always just stayed in French quarter section but have heard they have some fun bar activities over on there other side too (do we have to get the early to get a seat?)

I wonder how or more importantly, why folks revived these old threads too, LOL
I've seen other board software that can auto-lock threads after so many years, so they can be read but not revived. Never knew if this software can too or not.
Since as you said, the info at the first is so out of date. Other people will see the thread and not notice the date and wonder about the "new" entertainment.
