So I was sitting here, in one of those desperately-in-need-of-sleep stupors and reading the thread on Signs, when it suddenly occured to me...
M. Night Shyamalan's stuff is so deeply layered, and so almost misleading because it SEEMS to simple on the surface, and the before you know it you say WHOA! And suddenly you realize that all the stuff at the beginning and along the way that you thought was nothing is actually integral to the story.
And then I thought hmm, what writer does that remind me of? JK Rowling of course!
Which led to my late-night scary thought:
What would the Harry Potter movies be like if M. Night Shyamalan had directed them?
