Okay so my mom got a sunburnt last week on her shoulder, and it didn't look too bad, it just looked like a regular sunburn. Then this week it is like a purplish red, and it's really blistered, and looks so painful. And while we were at a graduation party on Saturday, she showed it to me again, and then she noticed something she's never seen before on her shoulder. It was a little brown spot, and it wasn't a freckle. So now she has to make an appointment with dermatologist, and I'm so afraid it might be something life threatening. I'm so scared for her. So please just keep her in your prayers. TIA

wow i'm so sorry to hear that. she is in my prayers and just keep saying and thinking she will be healed and be ok.

while to me, it does sound like skin cancer, she found it really fast, and it can be taken care of. you don't have much to worry about.

please take this as a learning experience and always remember to use a strong sun screen. if your mom got it, you're probably prone to it.

If it is skin cancer, she found it in its early stages. My family is prone to skin cancer, so we all know to wear sun screen. Remember its better to be safe than sorry.

Your family is in my prayers.

 It's good that if it is skin cancer, she has found it early.

My family are also prone to getting loads of different types of cancer, some found it early and are fine, some found it too late and aren't.

Wish you luck *scatters pixie dust*

I am sorry to hear that.

my friend had really red, blisteded sun burn, and it had bluey-black dots, and she is fine noe. dont get your self worked up. but, she will still be in all of my prayers.

I'm sorry, I hope she's all right.

I have fair skin and I need very very very strong sunscreen when I go outside.
But I don't have any in the house right now, so I'm getting horrible sunburns anytime I'm outside on a nice day now.
And I know it's not good.

that happened to my friend but she was fine after the doctor gave her meds.
tell us how she feels after the appointment
hope she feels better:hug:

If it's getting bigger, or changes in any way/shape/form, it's probably skin cancer.

Bad news: It's cancer.
Good news: Most skin cancers can be removed, and/or treated with a little bit of radiation.

She found it early, which means even if it is cancer, it won't be too bad.
Good Luck to your mom, I'm hoping the best for her.

im sorry. im sure she will be fine but keep us posted. i get burned really easily. i wear sunscreen on my face even in the winter. i started just buying a moisturizer with an spf in it so i have it on my face every day and if im outside in the sun i have other sunblock for it. burns suck but im sure your mom will be ok since she caught it so soon.

<3dont worry it will be ok<3
