Scared/Nervous need happy thoughts

We just put our house on the market. This is the first house I've ever owned and we've been here a little over 5 years. We're ready to move on but not ready/ready. We found this awsome house that we couldn't live w/out so we put our house on the market. Turns out the builder decided he didn't want a contingency offer anymore We decided to keep the house on the market and see what happens. If the house is still available we'll put in another offer. If we don't see anything we like we'll take it off. We're kind of going w/ the flow on this and it's SO not me. I analyze and plan everything. Today I came home from work and the sign is out front and the lock box on the door. Realtor knew we didn't want to sell unless we got the other house but today we said let's just go for it. I'm scared/excited etc. Any happy thoughts, prayers, well wishes just send me house. This is all new for me.

Happy thoughts being sent your way. I sold my house in MN 3 months ago. It's a terribly down market and there is about a 12-24 month supply of homes in the bracket my house was in. After 5 months languishing on the market, I switched real estate agents and the new one sold the house within 2 weeks.

I really believe in the power of positive thinking, when it comes to real estate. I knew someone would want my house - just a matter of at what price. In the end, it took me moving out for the house to sell. Good luck to you!

I own a 4.5yo home in MA. Custom built. Moved in June 1, 2005. All upgrades (as we did not think we would ever leave). The economy hit MA hard and DH was offered a FAB job in CA....so we packed our bags and headed West.
After 6 months in CA we decided we are NOT leaving. We love it here. We put our MA home on the market. 6 months and nothing, about 5 people looked at it. I flew home and called a "property management" firm. They rented it out for exactly what our mortgage is. The PM is taking total control and care of our home. When the market rebounds then we will consider selling it again.

Just wanted to let you know it is a tough R.E. market out there.
