Ok, so the new season has started and a few episodes have gone by.
What are everyone's opinions on this season and the storyline?
Is Jake "good" or "bad" or..... not enough info yet.
Really would love to see more Fitz and Olivia scenes but not sure where it can really go at this point with him starting the re-election process.

I've had enough of Olivia being in a *weak* position so to speak.

Maybe Fitz has served his time in my head, due to the back and forth, because last week I actually said, "you know what Olivia and Jake seem to have chemistry as well". I liked that she wasn't even remotely angry, actually smirked at him, when he said, "More wine?" when she was on the phone.

I need more Cyrus.

And I actually enjoyed Mellie.

And the part with Huck's colleague wanting to kill kind of grosses me out.

I watched both Olivia and Fitz's expressions on that last call several times- both were hard to read.
I was reading the comments on the Scandal FB page and there are some Team Olivia/Jake but overwhelming were Olivia/Fitz fans.
I just cannot get into Jake totally; I go between liking him and not trusting him.

Jake is good. He was an agent of Command. He wants to get rid of Command which is why he went to Huck. He wants his life to change. I'm annoyed that Liv is going back to those darn Sunday dinners!

Oh and I'm on team Fritz/Olivia.

I am no way not Fitz/Olivia. Or pro-Jake. But the back and forth is irritating to me at times. That's all.

I hope Olivia will go back to herself and find some way to take down Papa.

Ok, maybe I am dense but why was everyone concerned with it not being Olivia that was having an affair with the president? Why is Jeannine better in Eli's eyes for the "republic"?

A couple of funny observations:
In session 1, episode 7 Fitz mentions his mom being dead. In season 2 episode 4, Mellie asks Tom and Hal if Fitz was in a bad mood because he talked to his mom.

After Fitz gets shot and the scene where he is in bed asking for a divorce, Mellie takes the cup from him twice.

In the episode where Olivia is at Jakes and discovers that Jake is watching her, she drops her glass cup down and it shatters. Immediately it is no longer there.

I know those are common things in tv shows but I never pick them up.

Mellie said that she didn't want Olivia to be identified as the mistress because that would pave the way for Mellie to be out and Olivia to be in because over time the public would get over the affair and accept Olivia as 1st lady.

I think he thought she should aspire to be more than arm candy and aim for a position with real power.

I'm not going to read any of these posts because I don't want to spoil my enjoyment of the show, but I just found the show and love it. DW and I binge watched all 33 episodes over the last week. I think we watched 20 episodes over the weekend. The kids kept asking "isn't your show over yet?" They get enough attention. We can ignore them for one weekend.

Lol! That was me 2 weekends ago. I watched all 7 season 1 and all 22 season 2 episodes.
Then I started on season 3.
Addictive for sure.

Found another discrepancy; Mellie went to Harvard for Law School and in another episode Yale.
I am so shocked I am finding these- I never am that observant. lol!

I was the same earlier this summer. And later in the summer when my dh decided to start watching.

Oh man, I happy about one part of the show tonight and really unhappy about next weeks development.

I'm going to have to watch it again. Too many people don't know how to keep quiet. No one is allowed to talk during Big Bang, Criminal Minds and now Scandel.

Love this show. Tonight was good, can it be next Thursday already? My mom definitely called the whole situation with Fitz and Olivas mom weeks ago. However I don't think Fitz knows anything about it, I don't even think he knows who Eli Pope is since he keeps calling him Rowan. Also that dialogue Mellie gave definitely makes me think she is up to something.

I was very happy to see Olivia in fighting form. And Jake saying that's he's no one's second choice - or whatever he said.

You know I was suspicious about Mellie too but...... that is how she thought about the 2 of them in 1st season. Mellie said that Olivia had not "done her part" by leaving the White House/Fitz in the 1st season. She truly knew Fitz needed Olivia and when she left, that's when Amanda Tanner got her hands on Fitz.
That being said, she could be going back to that or she could be conniving even more. I watched her face and she seemed sincere (like that means anything lol!).
I just have to realize I am not going to get my Fitz & Olivia togetherness like I want. It would be a great story line of them working together again but that's a full time job and 1/3 of the shows story line is the Gladiator's clients.
No Olivia- no clients, or much less anyway.
I don't think Fitz knows about Olivia's mom and dad and his roles in their lives and death either. I am sure that's where my HEA (happily ever after) goes away.
