SBC+ and New Fonts

I just watched Dawn's webinar last night off the CM website. She said she gets extra fonts from a website. I tried to add a font I had downloaded, but it doesn't work right in SBC+. I tested the font in Word and it works fine. I've closed out of SBC+ and reopened and tried again. In my font list the name shows up blank. Then when I try to change my type to that font it gets really big - even though I have it as a size 10 font. Then it's too large to view. Any ideas? Remember I'm completely new to all this fun stuff!

I know that this sounds crazy - but did you restart your computer? I had a font show up in Microsoft office - but not SBC+ - when I restarted - it showed up.

If this doesn't work - maybe you can uninstall the font and reinstall it.

The only other suggestion that I have is to make sure that the font that you installed is a True Type font. Microsoft office can recognize fonts that SBC+ cannot - it only recognized TT fonts.

Thanks for the ideas Jennifer. I restarted the computer...but that true type font still did not work in SBC+. I tried to uninstall, but couldn't figure out how to uninstall a font. It's not a program, so I can't find it in "uninstall programs" - also couldn't find any uninstall features when right-clicking on it - only delete, which didn't do any good. Any other ideas of where to look?

That's so weird.... I have never had a problem with a TT font in SBC+ .. I just DL it, click install, restrat the program and there it is... I wonder if it is a corrupt file or something? I say that as if I know what the HECK I am talking about.... LOL! I have Vista, and my fonts automatically go into a folder under "Downloads" on my hard drive... I think you should be able to right click on the file and delete it.... Or did you say you tried that and it didn't work? Maybe try installing a different font and see if it works... It shouldn't be giving you that much trouble... Sorry -- wish I could be of more help!
