SB Spring Pages: Is this to Dreary for Spring?

I'm just starting to work on the layout,
and everyone is asking me "Why am I in Jail?"
Are the colors too drab?

Kewl idea but I agree it does look a little like jail! Would make a great zoo idea! Sorry! I do like it but not sure I follow the idea behind. The colors and buttons work great with the pictures

What a lovely heritage photo. I would'nt do a thing to cover it up or distract from the photo itself. There are lots of subtle heritage papers that would work great.

I like the colors and overall layout except for the stripping of the picture. That just looks out of place to me. I think the solid photo on those papers would be fine.

I agree with the majority the colors are great, buttons cute but the pic is too cute to cover up! What a treasure!...free the Easter kids! LOL (it does look like jail!)

Now that looks perfect! BTW - how did you manage to show it first looking like it was cut into strips and then whole again? I think I must be either missing something or really slow...it has been a long week.

I had scanned in the pic at 300 dpi andsaved it, so I just reprinted it.
The loss was a bit of Kodak Satin finish paper.
