I want to make my first pocket folder. I want to put my map of WL in it. I have seen some on 2peas, but they look like the two pieces of paper were sewn together. I'm not doing that!;)
How else can I can I make a pocket folder with out sewing paper? I have seen brads too, but I'm wonder what else I can do. Would it work if I just used photo splits or do I need something more durable?

Thanks for any advice you can offer.:) I'm so excited about this page...I have never tried this before!:teeth:

I just cut a piece of paper the length of my 12x12 page and used my non cm tape runner (sorry couldn't resist) to hold it in place and then used some brads to make it look pretty. :D maggie

Those pockets are adorable and they would be so easy to make since they're not squared-off.

I've been making a lot of "library book pockets" for my scrapping lately. They are simple to make and a park map slips right in. I use photo splits or tape runner to assemble.

Ive also used a basic glue stick- But be warned that you have to be careful where ya glue it as it can make it quite hard to get things in... NOT that I know that from personal experiance... :)

The one I just did for a trip to the zoo I used eyelets

For my WDW trip I did semi folders to put them in that were just big enough for the maps. Ill try to post a picture later :)

Maggie...I laughed right out loud when I read your post! Too funny girl!:teeth: ::yes::
Thanks for the link Franne, I'm off to check it out right now.
We're camping this weekend not to far from an awesome scrapping store. So I plan to hit it and pick up some more supplies!;)

I love pockets! I have made them for different books.
I basically do what Nicurn does! But I use eyelets.
I secure the pocket using HERMIFIX TABS (HAHAHA MAGGIE!) or cm tape runner then I use several eyelets to secure it. usually on a 12 x 12 4 on the bottom and then at 2 on the sides.

If I have lots of stuff or bulky objects I want to put in the pocket, I use foam tape to give a little extra room for everything. And you can decorate the front of the pocket with brads, eyelets, etc. before attaching it to the foam tape for that "pretty" affect. ;)
