Saying Goodbye to 2006

I got engaged on August 1st, 2006. I will be married on June 14th, 2008! :bride:

Congratulations to you and to all of you on the good things that have happened. May this year bring you much happiness & keep you safe and close to your loved ones.

Growing closer to three friends. I grew so much as a person this year and they were all a part of it.

I became a Realtor :)

I went to real estate school over the summer and studied alot.
I was thrilled when I passed the class, and even more thrilled with I passed the state test:cheer2: I was so proud of myself!!!!:goodvibes

Outside of that, 2006 was a bummer of a year for our family.
But, I believe that 2007 will be much better!!!:wizard:

I'm grateful that we made it through 2006. There were literally times when I had my doubts. It was NOT a good year!

I'm saying goodbye to '06 with ease, I'm glad that year is over. I had to have surgery on my wrist, I was in a cast that extended up my arm past my elbow for 6 weeks. (not to mentiona splint for several after that) And to top it off, this was my right arm and I'm right handed. I had to have two other surgeries (all three surgeries were in a 3 month period of time), one surgery was a radical hysterectomy due to a rare form of cervical cancer. They checked my lymph nodes and they were clean!!! Nothing more was needed.:thumbsup2

Some other good things from last year, we went on 4 trips : Turks and Caicos, Disney(3 weeks after my hysterectomy), the Bahamas and NYC.

We made several REALLY good sets of friends this past year, that was a plus!!!

2006 wasn't the greatest for me. Looking for 2007 to being a better year.

Minutes after the ball dropped, my Step son- who is 6 started to cry. He missed 2006. "I don't want 2007, I miss 2006." It was so cute and slightly funny. But it really got us talking about all the good things that will happen in 2007.

:thumbsup2 Ahhhh...where do I start....
2006 brought many happy times full of special memories for our family. :goodvibes

A few high lights I can think of off hand are:

Mother's Day we had an enjoyable week visit from our daughter and family in Seattle.

Father's Day we were invited to a fun filled weekend adventure with our children and grands to 'Great Wolf Lodge.'

May brought a trip to Colorado for the blessing our newest grand 'Orion' who we got to spend a week with.

May was also our 42nd Anniversary and we celebrated by traveling to Las Vegas, Grd Canyon Az and Utah, making special memories.

Sept brought my DH's 70th BD with a family cookout at DD&SIL's and then a surprise train trip I'd planned for him in Pa.

Sept also brought my dear Mom's 77th BD with a special outing for her and a reminder how blessed we are to still have in our lives.

Dec brought my big 60th BD and a surprise dinner theatre adventure with my wonderful family.

Dec also brought our DS, DIL and family home for his BD and the holidays for a week of many festivites, good food and good times and spoiling our newest 7 mo. old grand baby.

:thumbsup2 Now, bring on 2007, we look forward to it with much anticipation!

Sending my Dis friends positive thoughts and prayers for a 2007 full of blessings! :flower3:
