Say a prayer for the twins!!

My sister and her babies need all the prayers they can get. My sister has always wanted children. After a lot of health issues and struggling, she finally became pregnant with twins and the due date is Oct 31, 2008. She is high risk so they have kept a very close eye on her. Monday she went to the Dr and theydiscovered one of the twins wasn't growing as well as the other. One was about 4lbs and the other was about 2lbs. They admitted her to the hospital and have given her steroids to hasten the developement of the babies lungs. They will deliver the babies tonight. She is a nervous wreck and doesnt' have much support around her. Her husband is with her but his family hasn't even as much as called or inquired as to how she is doing. I live 1200miles away from her and wish for the 1st time that I never moved away. Please keep her and her babies in your thoguhts and prayers!!

Prayers said for everyone... She made it VERY VERY far with twins! Just remember ultrasounds aren't really accurate. They can be off as much as 2 pounds each way. I hope I can ease your mind about that a little bit!

And something to keep in mind.. They expected my #3 to be very, very tiny - and were quite concerned during labor - but when she was born, she weighed 5 lbs. 12 1/2 ounces..

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I was on this sight several years ago for a long time and then life happened and I was away for a long time. I started back to this sight under a new name but always know where to go when I need a little boost!! I thank you all. I will keep you all posted as soon as I hear anything.

I'll second that. The weight estimate was wrong with DS by two pounds two days before he was born.

My girls were born at 31 weeks and weighed 2lbs 13 oz, and 3lbs 8 oz. They spent 3 weeks in the NICU. Today they are 14 and 5'8".

My youngest was born at 39 weeks. Told me the morning I went into labor that she was around 7 lbs, and she was born that night at 9 lbs 5oz.

Wanted to share a postive experience with you and my prayers.
