....and I give it 2 thumbs up:)!!!! We went to a noon showing yesterday, me, DH, and our 4 kids ages 6 to 13. It was excited, interesting and best of all family friendly. The CGI was great! Just think a live action movie with an interesting story line, big name stars, entertaining for all ages, and no sex or foul language. There was minor language and comic book type violence, but still okay for our gang (and we are very picky!) Anyone else see it!

Wow. I saw it too. We took two sets of families in, and there was one kind of thrilling scene that was borderline for the wee folks. Other than that, a great family movie.

Thumbs up to the director for making a good old fashioned adventure movie. Thumbs up to AV for tipping me off to this movie so many moons ago.

I Loved This Movie!!! Its definitely going in my DVD collection as soon as it comes out on DVD.

On a side note. I got home and was all pshyced to order some robot figures for my collection, but much to my suprise there are no Sky Captain toys or models available. Sopmeone really dropped the ball on there.

Sounds great. I had been debating on whether or not to see it with the kids, but you all make it sound like a great flick. We'll have to check it out this week.

I saw it, too. My dad wanted to go and I really wasn't too sure about it, but agreed anyway. Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I good movie romp in the style of the old 40's serials with a few nods to actual 40's films. Very entertaining. :D

Hound I agree with you. They haven't really marketed this one very well. I have only seen one commercial on tv for it, and it would be great if they had toys, ect. Disney gets blasted for "over marketing" a lot of their stuff with McDonald's tie-ins and such, but this one needs MORE exposure IMO. It was #1 over the weekend, maybe word of mouth will help it last a while at the box office. Again, we really feel that when something appropriate for the whole family comes out we need to support it. There were a couple of scary parts, but would be okay for most school age kids and above to me....Lacee

I love this movie!!! It was so interesting how they made the moive kinda cloudy like an old comic strip. Too bad disney didn't make it. It is diffenetly a keeper.I'll be waiting for it to come out on dvd!
