saw my first BLT RESALE

I just got the updated listing from another reseller. There are two 160 pt contracts for BLT and they are listed at $93 per point. I guess that price probably won't pass ROFR, though.

Interesting, and I'd certainly doubt it, since the Mouse is selling them @ $107+... That leaves $2,200+ for closing costs and Disney profit!

Probably not, but this is a much more realistic price point to get an offer IMHO!
If someone is selling now, my bet is that they have to. So put an "attractive" price on it. Some buyer will probably bite "just in case" and then no matter what happens seller has cash!

Absolutely. Plus, a buyer could always raise the price per point offer, and ask the seller to pick up closing costs and MFs. I know Disney looks at the entire package, but a higher price per point may seem more attractive.

In the end...if you give the seller more per point but have them pay the other fees, they walk away with the same amount of money, and I think the buyer ends up with a better shot at passing ROFR. JMHO, though. :thumbsup2

And, given the fact that Disney is giving the cruise or developer points when purchasing through them, they may let a contract in the mid-90's pass ROFR. If you assign a value of $10/ppt for the developer points, it brings the price from $107.00, down to $97.00. Not sure Disney would worry about such a little difference. But then again, Disney does what Disney wants.

Good point, I hadn't thought about that! I wonder when the first BLTs will go through resale and if people will post what is & isn't getting through ROFR...-

Have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of them before all is said and done. My dh and I have addonitis but are being cautious due to the poor economy.

Does anyone know of any active listings for BLT? I have only seen one at sellmytimesharenow.

What does being a "founding member" net you?

Being a founding member let me buy up to 500 points at VGC on Jan 25 before the general public gets a chance on March 25th. I was getting worried I would not be able to buy since there are only 50 units for sale. Smallest DVC ever..... I am afraid it will be very difficult to make reservations at the 7 month mark... Only time will tell.

I agree and that's why I plan an add-on @ VGC the end of this month. I just hope that I can book a studio for 4 nights arriving the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I plan to call as close to 9 AM 11 months out as I can and cross my fingers. Trying to be patient... popcorn::

I don't think the resort is opening until Nov 30 2009. Guess you'll have to book it starting on Monday unless they change the opening date.... We were there last month and heard from one of the workers that the building will be done by the summer. He said the decorating and furnishing might take until Nov.
