John Carpenters 'The Thing' is a remake of the 1951 film 'The Thing From Another World' which was in turn adapted from the novella 'Who Goes There?' by John W. Campbell Jr.

Both are brilliant films and The Thing house was one of my faves from 2007.

Thanks for the correction! I've seen both movies and I agree that both are very good. I hope they create a modified version of this house for a future HHN.

I thought The Thing Assimilation was much better than 2008's Interstellar Terror.

Yes it was. I had my Best Scare Ever in that house. Damn demondog creature jumping at me in the mist...

But I highly doubt Saw will carry the theme. I'd like to see a more classic monsters based HHN again. We'll know more as the months get closer to August...

Unfortunately not - most likely won't hear anything concrete until July ... right now anything out there is strictly rumor
