Saw FANTASMIC for the first time this weekend...

I think the same thing can be said of ALL of WDW if crowds, tired kids (and adults) and "waiting" for things is weighed heavily into the mix.

But, like everything else at WDW, if you know what to expect and how to "handle" it...

That is SO true. Next time I go see Fantasmic! I'll be prepared.

It's just like MNSSHP. Last year was my first year for that and I learned a lot of lessons. This time around I know better what to expect and hopefully will have a much better time...

the rewards of Fantasmic! can far outweigh many of the negatives encountered.

the key word here is CAN. It largely depends on the situation. In my situation it didn't. Because of those other factors - which I didn't have the luxury of "knowing what to expect and how to handle it" - I would rate my overall experience a C.

That being said, my wife nor kids really enjoyed Fantasmic! much, so maybe next time I should send my wife and kids back to the hotel and watch it by myself, in the front row, center. I'm fairly certain that experience would be an A+...

Fantasmic is, by far, my favorite show at WDW -that's saying a lot, condidering I love the other shows too. But Fantasmic....Nothing compares t it.

It's AMAZING!

FantasMIC! is the very best show at the World. Going back in December and will get to see it three times. I will be solo for a few days and have no one else to worry about. Cannot wait!!!

Last time I saw it (October 5th this year) there was a family behind me with a little boy aged around 4, they were waiting so patiently for it to start and when it was all over the little guy turned to his dad and said 'Daddy that's the best thing I've seen in my whole life!'. I guess that just summed it up.
