Saw a squirrel

Saw a squirrel run off with a little bag of goodies that he must have stolen from someones stroller.

I worked a stroller parking shift one time and witnessed that happening several times. Guys, don't leave uncovered food in your strollers!

They are really pesky here in Chicago, and especially love to hang around the Fish and Chips Restauarant in Epcot. Annoying. In no way cute.....

It doesn't have to be uncovered. We witnessed a squirrel sniffing around a guy's backpack while waiting for an Off Kilter show (so it's been a while). The squirrel was VERY interested in the guy's pack. Fortunately, the guy was sitting right there and was amused too. Then the guy said, "I wonder just how good his smell is" and opened his pack. Down at the very bottom of the pack was a small bag of peanuts. That squirrel did a happy dance and the guy gave the squirrel some lunch. The squirrel just sat on the guy's knee.

I've seen Disney squirrels open zippers even - the stroller area between the seas and the land is a great opportunity for seeing this.

I figure Disney rodents must have thought them something.

In a family's food they left temporarily on their lounger at the clown pool at BW.

We were pretty sure they were done with their food, but just in case, when they came back we let them know the squirrel had been all in the food. Didn't want anyone to think "ooh I want a little more mayonnaise" LOL.

The squirrels at disney are lovely. Loads living at the french quarter.
Squirrels at epcot love the chips (french fries) in the uk pavillion.

Be careful. My wife was bitten on the finger by a squirrel while eating french fries at the pool at the Coronado Springs Resort. I had gone to get drink refills at the snack bar and when I was coming back she let her hand hang down over the edge of the lounge chair and the squirrel ran under the chair and bit the end of her finger. I immediately notified the lifeguard on duty and she call for first aid. They were able to bandage the finger and offered to call the paramedics but we decided not to do that. It was only later that she started to worry about rabies or something else. I did some online research and called Florida Game and Fish. There hadn't been a case of rabies from a squirrel bite in Florida for like 75 years. That made her feel better. Cheers!!!!!

It is a good life to be a WDW animal. I'll never forget the Wilderness Lodge ducks, who swam their babies in the resort pool and went begging for food room to room.

I used to work at the Grand Canyon as a photographer and I saw a million interesting interactions between squirrels and humans. They have a lot of interesting ways to beg for food. Some do an impersonation of Bush, some do a soft shoe dance...

Seagulls?
