I am honeymooning in disney in October and am debating whether to use ME or just get a towncar as we have in the past. We don't really mind riding with other people or if we have to pay for the service, our major concern is saving time. I understand that with ME you don't have to wait for your luggage to arrive at baggage claim, you just head right to ME check-in - the is only for the bus to arrive and how many stops are before yours. With a towncar we would have to wait for the luggage to arrive but then we go straight to our hotel. Can anyone tell me which saves more time or the average transit time from plane arrival for each? If it helps we are flying UsAir arriving on a sunday at about 10:30am. Thx!!

I have used towncar service for my past 4 or 5 trips. I will be using ME next month. I think that a towncar service may actually be faster. By about 20-30 minutes I would think. But I figure that I can wait that extra 1/2 hr in order to save myself about $130. And I'll have everything I need in my backpack carryon. It just depends on what is a priority for you. A honeymoon might be nice to have a towncar service.

In the past we used Mears, but this trip we planned to use ME then read all the posts and as someone who is headed to WDW for some serious R & R after the past 6 mos. of a very hectic/crazy 2005 I switched to a town car. I just don't want to start off worrying about how long it's gonna take to get there or when will my luggage catch up to me. (And, yes, I already know about packing a days worth of stuff in my carry on...I've been doing so since I was 12.) We are flying US Airways arriving at MCO, 3:30pm which means potentiall hitting rush hour traffic. My brain had to have been out to lunch when I made that reservation, but it is what we have to deal with...so I decided on the towncar. I would be happy to share my results after we get back if you are interested...just PM me.

::MickeyMo We just returned from WDW on Friday and ME was painless - it ran smoothly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I would definitely use it again! ::MinnieMo

We just used the ME service and it worked great for us-- from the time our plane landed until we were actually in our hotel it was just alittle over 1 hour. We can't wait to try it again in Nov.
But ME doesn't always seem to work that smooth for everyone. If money is not an issue and you don't want the possibility of alittle waiting you should do the sure thing with a towncar.
