Saving Dole Whip Float Money (Update 2/27: TR Link Posted!)

Sorry guys! If you're waiting for a round of Scrambler today, it's not going to happen. I left work early (after 4th period) because I wasn't feeling well. My stomach is not behaving. Maybe I'll post 2 tomorrow as a make-up?

Character Scrambler: Round 18 Answers

Congratulations to wisblue who got the correct answer of Marie from the Aristocats! See, it's not to late to jump on the scoreboard! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Sonny Eclipse = E
Um, is it just me or is he frightening? Why do kids like him? What if he one day decides to just get up out of his spot and come after you?

Clue #2: Earth Day = R
So cute that the opening was on this day!

Clue #3: ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter = I
The one time I "rode" this was after my cousin, brother, and dad already saw it. My cousin told me to sit up as tall as I could in the seat so that the bars coming down wouldn't squish me and scare me when the alien came around. I'm glad he told me that because then I crouched down a bit aftewards and didn't have to deal with the fright of that effect!

Clue #4: Mann's Chinese Theater = M
Next trip, I'll have to remember to check out the handprints! Forgot to do it this past trip!

Clue #5: Binaural Sound = A
I strangely want to go to this if it's open when we're there in February, mainly because I vaguely remember it from when I was a kid and actually kind of being scared of it because we were suddenly in the dark!

Lastly, the reason why I chose Marie is because this past Tuesday was Character Day at school (it was Spirit Week; my homeroom class won 1st place in the entire school too!). That meant that students had to dress up as a character from a book. Teachers who do it get an extra 10 point bonus for their class. Two other teachers and I were cats, and we were initially going to be the Aristocats because we just needed a group of 3 cats. They were going to have me be Marie because they said she's kind of sassy and if one of them was Marie, it'd be typecasting, haha. That day, however, we changed it to the three little kittens who lost their mittens.

Please post the answer to one round only! I'm posting 2 today to make up for what I missed since I wasn't feeling well on Thurs/Fri. Also, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to post on a daily basis from now on, but when I do post a round or two, I'll try to remember to update the PTR title!

:cool1: Yay, we've got round 20! Haha, it's absolutely a-okay for you to use Google. I have to use something to write the clues! Haha, no way I know those things on my own!

For round 19 I get LILO.

Believe it or not I actually saw Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln at the World's Fair. It was part of the Illinois pavilion.

:cool1: We've got round 19 done!

That's so cool that you got to see Great Moments! What did you think of it when you saw it? It was totally new technology, wasn't it?

Yes, it was amazing at the time. We also got to see some of the other attractions that eventually landed at WDW or Disneyland, such as the Carousel of Progress and Small World. I also recall that one of the auto companies had an attraction similar to what became the World of Motion at EPCOT. Although GM sponsored the World of Motion, I think Ford was the sponsor of the Worlds Fair exhibit, and GM had something else at the fair.

I still enjoy the Hall of Presidents, Small World, and Carousel of Progress in part because of the nostalgia. We now take for granted some of that technology that was revolutionary and awe inspiring 45 years ago.

I could have just not posted this comment and you'd never have known that I'm only just now joining in on your PTR :headache:, but noooo, I just had to go and type this all out!

BOO to the DIS for not telling me you've updated! :headache: I need to get back on the scoreboard!

Are you feeling any better Rachel? I hope so! :flower3:

That's so cool! Thanks for sharing! I wonder what stories I'll have for the next generation when new technologies come about and Disney continues to change.

Haha, better late than never! I haven't really been doing that much planning here anyway. Been doing more rounds of my game instead!

Yup! Get back on the scoreboard!!! I like seeing the scores fluctuate. It's fun!

Yes, I am feeling better. Thank you for asking! I'm not 100%, but I don't think I'm ever really 100% because of my stomach/intestinal issues. I'm good considering my condition. Haha. I'll stick with that.

Character Scrambler: Round 19 Answers

Congratulations to wisblue who got the correct answer of Lilo from Lilo & Stitch! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Rainforest Cafe = I
I hate that there seem to be yummy things on the menu for Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex. What do people like me (scared of EVERYTHING) do? Haha, guess we just have to skip it.

Clue #2: Al's Toy Barn = L
I remember when planning for the April 2010 trip, I thought this place still existed! Haha, what did I know ...

Clue #3: Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln = L
I read somewhere that when Lincoln stood up or sat down, the hydraulic fluid started leaking. Because the fluid was red, it looked like he was bleeding, and people thought that the assassination was recreated. That's also why they started using clear fluid. Not sure if that's 100% true though!

Clue #4: Chameleon Paint = O
Haha, I just found this and thought it was an interesting tidbit of information!

Lastly, the reason why I chose Lilo is because I think she's absolutely adorable. Plus, my "cousin" looks exactly like her (she's 21)! I love the scene when she and Nani are fighting. Then when they make up, it's just so touching! "I brought you some pizza ... in case you were hungry." My brother and I used to say that line all the time with the same exact tone.

Character Scrambler: Round 20 Answers

Congratulations to wdwgirl03 who got the correct answer of Mater from Cars! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Block Party Bash = A
I plan on seeing a parade or at least part of a parade in February. I saw part of one this past trip with Sarah, but I was really just standing there a little nervous because I was finally meeting my first DIS friend!

Clue #2: Rover = R
I don't really know why Rover sometimes scares me a little. I guess because it's just so realistic that I must have thought the dog was real and might get up from his spot!

Clue #3: Mary Poppins = M
"It's a jolly holiday with Mary!" When I go through a Mary Poppins phase, I sing that song all the time because I love how Bert says certain words!

Clue #4: Stitch = T
I'm not sure if I truly like Stitch or not. At times, he's kind of cute! Like when he's a plushie. Haha.

Clue #5 Prince Charming Regal Carrousel = E
I wish that they would add rings to this ride. I remember seeing carousels like that on some theme park special on Discovery or Travel channel or something where you have to grab a ring and try to throw it in a hole. I think that's so cool!

Lastly, the reason why I chose Mater from Cars is because Cars is Howard's all-time favorite Disney movie. Any time we go to the Disney Store, he MUST stop by the Cars section. He hovers over the die cast cars (or whatever they're called) each time, haha. He loves Lightning, but I like Mater just because he's a cutie! Plus, there are fewer letters in Mater than Lightning McQueen ...

Please post the answer to one round only! I'm posting 2 today because I think it makes it easier for people to win a round if each person can only win one per day. I really should write an update though since we did book Amtrak!

This is the highest rank that you can attain in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Clue #2 (2 words / 2nd letter of 1st word): __ __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __
Although Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is no longer at WDW, you can find J. Thaddeus Toad at the exit of this ride.

Clue #3 (1 word / 1st letter): __ __ __
This is the only dwarf that doesn't have a parking lot section named after him.

Clue #2 AND 3 (3 words / 2nd letter of 1st word AND 3rd letter of 3rd word): _W_ __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __
These are the two characters who are sitting in the balcony of Muppet Vision 3D.

Clue #4 (1 word / 3rd letter): __ __ __ __ __ __ __
The Tower of Terror had to be designed and painted to have the same colors as this pavilion because when looking across the lagoon in the World Showcase, guests can see ToT in the background.

Clue #5 (3 words / 1st letter of 3rd word): __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __
The phrase "Grim Grinning Ghosts" is actually taken from Shakespeare's poem that goes by this name.

Clue #6 (2 words / 1st letter of 1st word): __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __
Although a CM has to sit backstage to choose the prerecorded lines for Mr. Potato Head in the queue for Toy Story Mania, this was the guy who recorded the dialog (and he's the original voice for the characters in the movies!).

For Round 21 I'll go with KODA from Brother Bear.

Round 22 is tough because I'm not sure which order the names should be in for clues 2 and 3. If you don't mind me giving a small clue, to get to the answer the name that starts with a "W" has to go first. Doing it the other way will lead you to extinction.

Thanks for the clarification clue! I added it in the round. I didn't realize that they were the same amount of letters for both names. I was just trying to minimize the use of the clues I had on hand especially since it was for such a "simple" letter! Thanks again!

Round 22:

LAARAD
ALADAR - from the movie Dinosaurs

You are so good with the character scramblers! LOL. I am not a good speller...I'd probably spell something wrong!
