I just go woodsview at WL for $153 a night including tax. Marla from DU got it for us. The last three of our days were in a blackout period but she got it. Our trip for 6 nights is $923 and I can't believe it.

wow, that is awesome!!
what are you dates?
what a great rate!!

congrats!:sunny: :teeth:

When I called yesterday, I got an AP rate for a woodsview room at the WL (11/27-12/1) of $121. This is the best rate I've EVER gotten for this resort. (I usually stay during busy times - April, July). Did I luck out because of cancellations? When I called a few times last week, I was told nothing was available - not even reg. rate rooms.

I can't either! In fact, I was so excited to get this rate - especially after being told a few times that NOTHING was available. I guess what people on this site say is true - just keep calling, because you never know what will open up.

I got WL woodsview too. My dates are Feb 5-12. I got $126/night with AP. I am so excited. I've never stayed here before. Will I like it?

We have visited the lodge but have never stayed there. I can't wait because my kids will love the little waterfalls and the gyeuser.Sp? Most people seem to really like this resort.
have fun

Congrats on the great rate! We will be staying at WL for the first time in Dec. but I wasn't able to get an AP rate:( , I've called several times, with no luck. But, I guess I'll keep trying!

I got the $119 Std View rate for 1/31 - 2/3. We haven't been there since January of 1996. It's great for this time of year because it's not uncommon to have a chilly day, and the fire in the lobby is lovely.

Last time I was there the swimming pool was closed (not too big a deal since we had nighttime lows of 27 degrees and highs of 60 that year). Hopefully it's warmer this time, and the pool is open.

I think if the general look of the resort interests you, you will most likely enjoy the WL very much. My husband and I have two small daughters and we just love the place - and stay there once a year if we can. The proximity to MK is important to us right now - and it doesn't matter that it's not on the monorail route. My kids LOVE the boat ride - (I enjoy it, too). The restaurants are great (Whispering Canyon Cafe is SO much fun for kids) and Roaring Forks (the quick meal spot) is very convenient with lots of fast, easy choices. We all love the pools, the lobby, the totem poles, the geyser, the grounds. Some people complain about the transportation options but we've never experienced a problem with them. We've never had a long wait for a bus or boat. You are just a boat-ride away from hoop-dee-doo or Chef Mickey's...(gee, do I sound like I like the place?) Just my opinion - but I really think it's a great place to relax, have fun and enjoy!

Hope you feel the same and the WL turns out to be everything you hope it will be!

Congrats,
Booked AP courtyard view for $137 Dec. 15-21. This is our first stay at WL. Really looking forward to Christmas decorations. Hope it's not too crowded.

I'm glad to here what DocDisney got the WL for in Dec. We're Ap holders and will be going over Thanksgiving in 05. Hopefully I can snag such a great rate as well ;)
